Brilliant, everything brilliant. Went for a dinner with friends before a night out and ended spending half the night here! The service was amazing, we were treated like kings and queens, and the owner (a lovely man!) was checking on us all night. The food was amazing as well, real valencian food and done really well. We were chatting with the waiters and the owner all night and at the end they all shouted us shots and bottle of cava, a great experience, one we won't forget. Obviously its a higher quality upper class restaurant so you pay a bit more but worth every penny. Awesome!!

This restaurant is a little out of the way however, it is a lovely find.

We stubled upon a sign for a tasting menu and made our way up the street.
We were greeted by the owner and invited inside. Then we were presented with a lovely menu, there was a tasting menu as well as an a la carte option.

We chose the tasting menu at 19€. You get 4 tapas as well as your choice of 4 mains and dessert and coffee.

The waiters were very imformative and their english was good.

They also offer a paella cooking class that is 3 hours long and includes some wine tastings as well as other tapas amd a trip to the market.

The waiter also offered a lovely choice of liquors at the end of the meal in icy cold shot glasses.

Overall, a great meal and a fabulous time, great food and great service, I will be back on my next trip to Spain.

Found this place by accident and it looked good, so we went with a group of friends. The people were very friendly and moved some tables around to accommodate all of us. We tried the paella valenciana; it was excellent. And some of us also had tapas and were happy with all the dishes. The wine was also good, and we got some free drinks at the end:) Central but off the main streets, good food and service. Highly recommended.

Wonderfully generous and authentic culinary experience with this restaurant and cooking school; regional cuisine, paella in particular and local wines. The personable owner and staff create a unique experience for the individual as well as the larger group. From market to table the guest is involved in each stage and guided by the skill and knowledge of chef Raefel and front of house staff Victor and Jose. Any travellor interested in high quality local cooking experiences will find this resturant /cooking school to be both fun and informative.

I had a superb day at the Escuela. Jaime, Jose and Victor were perfect hosts and Rafa was a great teacher. After a tour of the wonderful market for the ingredients, we set about cooking a Paella Valenciana. This was combined with beer, wine, a starter of Clochinas and a salad to go with our paella. Finished off with postre and cafe con leche. Perfecto!
