The stay at Westin Valencia during Christmas and New Year was memorable. We were given a generous upgrade to a room with a reasonably sized balcony and Jacuzzi. I guess all rooms on the 2nd Floor have a balcony and Jacuzzi. My 3 year old son speaks of Jacuzzi even after we are back.

The rooms are quite spacious with free wifi. Even though the property dates to 1921 it is very well maintained. The lobby, courtyard and other public areas are very clean. The reception staff, porters and the concierge are very courteous.

We had a king size bed with two big couch and a nice flat screen TV. The bathroom had both tub and walk-in shower. As always the toiletries of Westin with white tea is great. We had a spacious balcony with some nice reclining chairs and obviously a private Jacuzzi. The pools are very well maintained. The Bar in general is very good.

We did order some nights in-room dining which were excellent. The breakfast is quite good with lot of variety. I would certainly recommend to consider having breakfast as an option when booking.

The Hotel is very well located in terms of Tourist attractions and is also very well connected from Airport. Take Metro (Green Line) 5 from airport and get down at Aragon and Westin is just a block away. The trip from Airport with Metro costs approx. 4.80 Euro/person. If you take 10 tickets then it works to around 2.50 Euro. You could also use this ticket for travel within the city.

A block away from the Hotel, you have bus no 95 which takes you to the Arts and Science Museum on one hand and on the other to the downtown. Bus No 2 takes you to the beach.

Walk to the arts and Science Museum takes about 30 mins but is a worth while walk on the old river bed which is now converted to parks.

And Finally if you are tired of taking public transport and walking is not an option then you could take taxis and cover most of the places within the min fare i.e. 4 Euros or up to a max of 6 Euros.

I would extremely recommend this hotel and we will visit this place once again hopefully during March Festival.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 2nd Floor facing the street have a private balcony and a private Jacuzzi. The rooms fac...

We spent four nights at this hotel between Christmas and New Year. Really cannot fault it. Friendly staff (reception, breakfast and cleaners), lovely big room, which I think was the cheapest option as it faced out to road rather than the courtyard, but I was undisturbed, and I'm not very good at sleeping. We had a twin room, which consisted of two large beds (super-duper comfy and five pillows), a sofa, easy chair, desk with two chairs, tv, bathroom with large walk in shower, bath and nice washstand, and a separate loo. Breakfast was lovely - my favourite combination, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, followed by a selection of pastries...there was loads to choose from. We didn't visit the spa, which apparently was included in our room rate, but I'm sure it would have been lovely. We found a street with lots of well priced restaurants just over the Turia in the Eixample area. About a 20 minute walk to the Cathedral if you know where you're going. Lovely city, perfect for a long weekend break.

Room Tip: We got the room at a very competitive rate, I would expect that if there were better rooms they woul...

Stayed a couple days for work and had a wonderful experience. From the kind and helpful staff, to the comfortable rooms and modern, well-kept facilities, I really enjoyed the stay. The food and beverage experiences were also top notch. There are multiple options inside and nearby when it comes to food and drink (for business or pleasure purposes).

This Westin needs work. Although the red carpet was out because the footballers were staying ther! We Left Barcelona for the westin valencia - we wish we had stayed in Barcelona - while we got a room upgrade and some of the people were nice and effective the female concierge must have a kickback from some of the valencia restaurants she sent us to. When we told her we wanted a dinner reservation for our anniversary she sent us to a very well lit 5 person table only seafood restaurant. Why we didn't get up and leave I don't know. Anyway my husband was way less thrilled in the hotel than I was. They were very concerned when I was sick for the whole day due to the previous mentioned meal recommended by their concierge. Oh well - decent location,
nice bar.

Stayed here now several times over the years it has been open.
The building itself is well located, within easy walking distance of the old city and not that far from other attractions such as the Concert Hall. Local architecture is interesting: was this the old Tobacco Warehouse? Well if not, something similar! There is a little traffic noise if you get a room on the outside so if you want complete tranquility, opt for one overlooking the central courtyard .
Public areas are excellent with lots of seating in the courtyard gardens
Bedrooms are luxurious.
I will be back, for business or pleasure I think the Westin is probably the best hotel in this vibrant Spanish city

Dear Guest,
I would like to thank you bringing your personal and valuable opion in Tripadvisor.com.
The building of the hotel is called “La Lanera”. It was built on 1909 for the Regional Exhibition. It has been a wool factory, then it became a police and fire headquarters. In 2006 reopened its doors as a hotel to start a new phase of its long history, The Westin Valencia. The facade has been preserved and inside was redesigned combining art-deco style with modern technology.
The Tobacco building is just in front of the hotel, it is from the same time and now is becoming the new offices of the city hall.
Look forward to welcome back in The Westin Valencia soon.
Warm Regards,

This is a very solid 5 star hotel.

The staff, the room, the location, the bars are all top class. Nothing is really spectacular but I just could not fault any aspect of this hotel at all.

If you need somewhere to stay in Valencia you wont find better than the Westin
