In our recent trip to Europe we decided to visit Valencia for the first time in consideration we were traveling with our 4 year old son and we were looking for a place where we can find some nice activities for him. we enjoyed Valencia a lot and there were pelentiful of family oriented activities that our son really enjoyed (Oceanographic, the Zoo, etc.), the city is vibrant and nice with a lot of options for eveybody, there are plentiful of good restaurants aso was a good experience. In connection with the Hotel, everything was very nice with ample and clean room and bathroom, butr he service wasvery good from all the personel from the bell boy to the barman, concierge and all, we definitively would like to recommend this hotel.

Ok, I'll keep it short and sweet. So we're a couple and we like to travel. Actually we LOVE to travel. We've been to a lot of hotel's and we have to say that The Westin is one of the best.

Food, staff, service - all five class. Any little problems or issues, they sort it out right away.

Only downside, you have to pay for the swimming pool - ten euro's. But given the fantastic affordability of the place at the start, as well as unusual perks like champagne at breakfast, we simply don't care!

Room Tip: Try get a room facing the court yard.

This is the second time my boyfriend and I have come to Valencia and stayed at the Westin. It is absolutely superb and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for five-star service and amazingly large beds! The champagne breakfast is always a treat and nothing is too difficult or obscure for the staff to deal with. The location is great, the courtyard and bar are wonderful. The room service is magnificent. As you can see I'm running out of positive adjectives for the place! If you are reading this and trying to decide where to stay, push the boat out for this hotel, it's great.

Room Tip: The rooftop terrace may not have a view, but it's great for sunbathing.

We stayed for 4 nights and have come home raving about this hotel. The staff were just fantastic, from porters right through to the restaurant staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. It was everything we asked for and much more. Included within the price was breakfast which we found to be really good, and free use of the swimming pool, sauna etc. Excellent value for money. We did have a slight problem which the staff dealt with immediately and we couldn't fault them at all. Location was good as there was a metro close to the hotel but we walked into town. Taxi to the beach was under 10 euros so would recommend doing that instead of using the metro. Valencia is a beautiful city and this hotel is a real gem.

Room Tip: The rooms facing into the courtyard are lovely but you may find rooms which don't are quieter, e...

We stayed at this hotel in September 12 for 2 nights, having managed to get the price from 'eyewatering' to very expensive by booking and paying in advance. In fairness all hotels in Valencia seemed expensive. There are some comments on the site about the location being 'not near anything', this is not true the hotel is well located for walking into the city centre, however I did find walking around this city particularly tiring so it made the hotel seem a bit futher away than I would have liked.

The hotel iself is lovely, very elegant with a calm cool atomosphere which is welcome after the noise and heat of the city. We upgraded to a superior room so that we could have a terrace with sun loungers, thinking that may want to relax for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Although the room was spacious and very well appointed the terrace was a real disappointment. The terrace was bounded on all sides by a 5 foot wall which made it impossible to see out and gave the impression of a court yard. This may not have been so bad,as there really isn't a view anyway, except that it kept the sun off the terrace for almost all of the day, meaning the sunloungers were permanently in the shade. Even though the room itself was definitely worth the additional money I did still feel slightly cheated on this, and the room itself was the furthest away from the lift that I have been in any hotel ever.
Its true that WiFi is an additional charge but its free in the reception area and there is a free business centre to use as well which I think is fair enough. The hotel and grounds (there is a central courtyard) are lovely and there is permanent free iced tea in the reception.
The real star of the hotel though is the staff. Every member of staff went above and beyond to be helpful, polite and friendly. The hotel has one other flaw which is the cost of drinks in the bar area. I expect these to be higher than bars outside of course they will be, I would be happy to pay 2, 3 or even 4 times as much, but here I thought they were unaccpetably high. 23 euros for a local brandy is far too much and this price is similarly reflected in most of the bar prices. I didn't sample them so I can not tell you if this was for a small or large brandy. If I were to have taken into account the disappointment of the sun terrace and prices I might have downgraded this to 3 stars, but staff were so good they deserve 6 stars and the standard of the hotel overall is definitely 5 stars so I have settled on 4.

The hotel is very elegant, and the staff is fully bilingual. There was a terrace in our room. There was a long walk from the elevator to the room. Valet Parking is 20 Euro per night, WiFi is also available for an additional cost and the breakfast buffet is around 24 Euro per person. So overall you should consider this hotel is going to cost around $100 more per night than the actual rate because of the extra charges.
