No plants, tiny bar, no pool. Only for business people attending a conference. Staff friendly and helpful to find another hotel. I checked out after 1 night. No atmosphere at all. Few staff this is just a stack of rooms a long way from the city

Room tip: Find another hotel

Hotel lacks atmosphere. Ok for business stay but I personally wouldn't recommend for leisure. Outside eating/drinking area is poor and uninviting, spa is dark and uninviting. Restaurant evening menu lacks choice (unless you like rice!!).
Breakfast was lovely. Bar food was lovely bar staff were excellent, Nuella in particular. Reception staff were ok but not overly welcoming!
Wouldn't return.

I stayed 4 nights at this hotel for attending a conference. I surprised by very wonderful and modern exterior view. And clean and modern interiors even in my standard room with good scenary view. I just dissapointed by long distance to beach. However, valencia is anyway not a big city and i could take subway or tram at 5 min away. Staffs are friendly and breakfast is more than normal. Spa opened again a few days ago. If they do something with noisy ventilator in ceiling, it will be perfect. Here can be a cheap but luxury hotel for your trip.

They claim 4 star.I would stay maximum 3.The hotel is close to the conference center ,but far from the center of town or the art&science compound, ,beach.
It is a commercial hotel but no feeling of luxury.the toiletries are cheap. The room is spacious but the bathroom shower is not very goodTthe bathroom is floded after every shower.

Room tip: Higher floors have better views.

Dear Mr vandorlo,

Thank you for having taken some of your valuable time to send us your comments; we believe it is only through listening carefully to the comments and suggestions of our guests that we will be able to achieve the constant improvement, guest satisfaction and quality service that we strive for.

As all our customers say the hotel Melia Valencia is one the best 4* hotels in the city, and in fact it was built and has the facilities of a 5* hotel. I'm sorry to hear that they don't meet your expectations. Do not doubt that we take very seriously all the comments and suggestions and I transmit your comments to the appropriate departments.

Regarding our location we are really closed to the Conference Center built by Norman Foster, and about 10-15 min to the city center.

If you can back to the city we will be glad to welcome you and change your last impressions.
Best Regards,

Stayed here for 4 nights in June and I would highly recommend this hotel. We chose to stay here after a really great stay in the Melia Vienna hotel in December and we were not disappointed. Yes this may be out of the main city centre but the nearest Metro station (Beniferri) is only a 5 minute walk away - with the added bonus of a whole host of restaurants either side of the tree-lined street (including a Burger King which we were very happy to see on exiting the station for he first time!) There is also a Valencia Tour Bus stop literally 30 seconds walk away if you plan on using this option.
We were given a room on the top floor (29th) with a south facing amazing view of the city (see pic attached) - the lift ride to the top is also very enjoyable. The room itself was very spacious and immaculate, the bed extremely comfortable and again very spacious. It was also very nice to have a bath and separate shower. Staff were very welcoming and helpful and spoke good English.

The only negative I can think of is that there was no TV remote in the room but it was back again when we got back to our room on the second night.

Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come stay again if I ever came back to the wonderful Valencia :)
