Red Nest Hostel Valencia
Ranked #26 of 186 Specialty Lodging in Valencia
Reviewed April 30, 2013

I am happy to have stayed here on my short visit. It wasn't my first choice but because Valencia was very busy, this place was a last resort. But, I will consider booking the hostel, if I ever visit again.

Very friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms and clean amenities. Overall very good value and excellent location.

Room Tip: Private rooms available.

Stayed in a four bed dorm for a few nights this week. Enjoyable stay. Staff are really friendly, especially 'Mayo girl' and everything is clean and comfortable. Great location and easy to access. Only complaint I had was the shower was not especially easy to tame. Didn't check out the bar or kitchen or common rooms, but there seemed to be encouragement to venture to the terrace for paella parties etc, but I was visiting friends in the city. Most likely a good atmosphere. I would definitely stay in this place on a return to Valencia

The hostel was very easy to find and is easily accessible from the airport as public transport is very good. Close to many of the sights such as the old town and the markets. When I asked the staff any questions they were very helpful and patient with my broken Spanish phrases. Very good value for money and I would happily stay there again in the future.

Enjoyed my stay at red nest hostel, big bar area and cool outdoor area on the roof to drink. Wasn't too busy when i was there (mid sept) so bar area didn't have the greatest atmosphere but on a saturday night it was sweet, had a pool table by the bar which was cool. Rooms were all good, i dont know why my room had a fan when others had A/C which made it quite hot at night. Staff were very friendly and location was pretty good walking distance to city center.

Fairly good hostel and for the most part well kept & well decorated. Good location close to the centre of the City's old quarter.
Breakfast was pretty basic and could be better but i guess as it was included, cannot complain.
Shame the showers were extremely mouldy - it doesn't take much to clean them but the cleaning staff didn't seem too concerned.

Great location, helpfull staff, very clean with nice decor. Being a solo traveller, there wasn't much of a social atmosphere. The breakfast was basically toast and cornflakes. Very annoying to find the internet was't working, and apparently hadn't been for a while, They did advise us to go to the Purple nest hostel, just up the road and use theirs but we had to pay for this, which i thought was wrong!
Not bad but I wouldn't stay here again.

Really good place to meet plenty of different people from across the globe. The rooftop terrace is definitely a great part of the hostel, while the kitchen is spacious and clean. Rooms are standard hostel fare, although probably among the most comfortable I've slept in. The staff are also very friendly, tolerant and a good laugh. Excellent value and in a great location too.
