Children would love this but you need to check when it is open, it seemed safe and well patrolled by staff, certainly a different kind of play park

If your looking for break from the kids then head here. Park has seats for adults to just sit & watch the kids wear themselves out for an hour under a tree. Closed shoes highly recommended & if your kids can survive without falling over its great place to visit for free. In summer it verges on dangerous regarding heat.
Unfortnatley when common sense rules none apply. For city prides themselves on bikes your not allowed to bring them. So means you either look after your kids or your bikes. You can’t do both.. No snacks allowed either.

Not your typical playground but then also not your typical location overall.
Located south-East of the city inside the Túria park, the dried-out bed of the Túria river, you will find a peculiar sculpture in the shape of a man lying on the ground. If you are familiar with Gulliver's Travels you'll quickly understand that it represents Gulliver as he's tied down to the ground and you (or your kids) are the Lilliput people climbing on top of him.
In the end it is a climbing structure with lots of different slides but it is done in the most original way possible. And best of all: it's free of charge.
Fun fact: to grasp the entire structure you can find a miniature copy inside "the hat" next to Gulliver, or simply check the satellite image on your maps app.

My kids are teenagers so limited appeal (although we did all have a short climb and slide!). However this is a really clever play space that is lots of fun! Younger kids could easily spend an hour or two playing here. Worth taking a look on Google maps to see how well designed this is too - they've even included his hat as a shaded sand pit and a sword to climb on.

We were walking in the park and came across this wonderful play area. Children can imagine themselves being Lillputians and they climb on Gulliver. Children seemed to be enjoying the slides and ropes to climb. Clever playground with a literary link.
