“Photos at Night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2014

Before you go to Valencia you either hear it is someplace you can't miss or don't bother going. It is somewhere you need to visit yourself and make up your own mind. If you love to take pictures, it is a special place you would regret skipping on your trip to Spain. The Central Post Office and vicinity are beautiful during the day but at night the buildings are magical. Guide books do it an injustice saying Valencia glows at night. It is unbelievable and my attached pictures do not do it proper justice.

“Have a look”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2013

Step inside, even if you don't need stamps, and look up. Amazing cupola. Also love these Spanish mail boxes. Something very reassuring about shoving your mail into the mouth of a bronze lion to be reckoned with.

“A very old building worth seeing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2013

This building is very old and survived 2 wars. But befor entering the building you must look up as the top of the building is as good as the inside. On going into the building you will see some of the original wrought iron, but once inside the whole of the room has the original wood work all around. BUT you must look up there you will see a huge glass dome with the crests of all the provenances of Spain incorporated within the dome.

“Architecturally nice building, it completes the majestic scenario of the Plaza Ayuntamiento.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2013

The Central Post Office, in my opinion it is worthless trying to find it on purpose to visit this building, it is only a post office, there is nothing relevant or touristic interesting inside.
But I do not want to question the aesthetic appearance of the building itself, the outside is very quaint, beautiful facade and architecture relevant, it is located in a truly remarkable corner of the city, the "Plaza Ayuntamiento", where every tourist who meets at least once passes in these parts.
Suggestive by day, but at night it is even more beautiful thanks to the lighting that makes the romantic atmosphere.

“All Post Offices should be like this!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2013

This post office is a bank, where you can wire money and where you can purchase stamps for your philatelist friends. Every post office in a large city should be like this. Cool, efficient (take a number), lit by an enormous stained glass dome on the rotunda and architecturally interesting. I especially liked the mail slots at the side of the building where letters and card were sorted by 'Extranjero' and 'Espana' and you slid your post into the lion's mouth.
