I stumbled upon this museum as I was walking around and was very pleased I did! It houses figures and costumes from the Corpus Christi festivities displayed over several floors and it’s completely free to visit. There are also photographs of past festivals and panels explaining the different aspects in Spanish, Valencian and English. A very interesting visit

From the Museum of Corpus-Casa de las Rocas we want to thank you for your visit and that you have dedicated time to express your opinion, very valuable for our team as it helps us improve the service we offer.
Although the Corpus procession is based on a religious manifestation, it is surrounded by many civic and popular manifestations as can be seen in the procession of the Morning Convite, with the dances and the characters that walk the streets in a festive way inviting all the people to participate in the evening procession. This celebration will take place on June 14. If you have not seen it, I never invite you to enjoy it.
In the video of the museum you can get an exact idea of the development of this holiday that has been celebrated in Valencia since 1355. Our public values its viewing very much and that the entrance is free every day.
We hope you find the opportunity to visit us again soon.
Receive a warm greeting in the meantime.

We visited this museum on November 14. You will see the giants and some of the chariots. Most of the chariots are in room that was not open for the public because of restorations.
On the second and third floor you get an explanation about the tradition that dates back from the 15th century. There is a video that gives you a good idea what it is all about.

Highly recommend you pop in to this as it explains a celebration held in greasy esteem by this beautiful city. So Valencia’s historic centre is a beautiful place, twisty roads, tall beautiful buildings and we happened upon this wonderful unassuming free exhibit by chance as we turned a corner heading elsewhere. Pope’s in, took us 30 mins to navigate the exhibit. Very interesting, some incredible pieces to see. If you visit you will no doubt pick up references to the Corpus Christi festival on other places around the city during your visit, so coming to the exhibit helps you to understand and put it all in context.
