“Great location !”
Reviewed January 23, 2012

We have just spent a weekend (January ) at this hotel resort .

I agree with the comments already posted, the hotel is in a great location right on the Playa de Levante ut not far from the port and city centre, its a very large long (clean ) beach with a promenade .Its in an area that during with 1930´s was a spa resort .The old buildings in this area reflect this once prosperous time , if now in need of restoration & the hotels main swimming pool has been restored from this era.

A Sea view room as other guests have commented is recommended and we had a great balcony totally protected from the wind with sun lounges , chair & table (De-Luxe room )
with plenty of room inside for a cot .Beautiful for sitting outside this weekend.
The staff at the hotel are very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is excellent (big buffet with eggs cooked on request ) and the evening restaurant very good if slightly expensive.
The hotel recommended a local tapas bar on our first night which was great , Casa Montaña.
There are plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance.
We didn´t use the spa or pool but the public areas are very clean and modern.
We drove to the hotel and this was easy but its not far from the main railway station also , the hotel has parking but you could leave your car on the road if you wanted too outside .

We were recommended the Tourist bus which stops right outside the hotel (as do the trams and pubnlic buses so great for transport links into town ) and it was very useful for hopping on and off around Valencia even with a pram and child .
If you have children then visit Oceanografic ,its expensive nearly 50 euro for 2 adults but kids free .They have a Dolphin show 3 times a day and 4 different aquariums including sharks and belugas .

We would return to this hotel , very enjoyable weekend !

Room Tip: Sea view recommended and De-luxe for larger balcony/terrace

, The room was comfortable with all the amenities expected of a five star hotel. The location! Perfectly nestled near the beach and a short walk away from the metro line to the rest of Valencia. Very good breakfast buffet, but eat out in nearby restaurants lunch/dinner as The hotel is near to the good seafood restaurant’s

We stayed at Las Arenas the first week of October and it was spectacular!

LOCATION: It was a 15 euro cab ride from the train station and a little bit outside of town. If you are planning on doing a lot of site seeing, I would recommend staying somewhere a little closer to the town centre, but if you are looking to relax this place is perfect. The area around the hotel is a little rundown, but it didn't bother us much. There is a stretch of restaurants if you head to the beach and turn right. There is also a promenade along the beach which is great for a morning run along the Mediterranean.

HOTEL: The hotel is absolutely stunning! My only comment would be that the decor is a little dated (especially in the corridors), but the grounds, the pools etc. are all amazing. There are 2 pools, one large pool, and a kids pool a level below. Lots of loungers available but then again we were not there in high season.

ROOM: The room was great, again, the decor was a little dated for my taste, but it was absolutely spotless. The shower was a little small, but all of the different jets more than made up for it. There was Hermes toiletries and they brought in fresh flowers which was a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable. We book the seaview room so we had a lovely terrace overlooking the beach and mediterranean.

SERVICE: Service was impeccable. Even though we arrived quite early, we were shown to our room right away (again this may have not been the case had we travelled in high season). Once in the room, we noticed that the television menu was personalized, which was a nice touch. Upon returning to the hotel after some sightseeing, we were greeted by name and then discovered a gift of cava and chocolates in our room waiting for us! We ordered room service breakfast the night before and it showed up right on time and they set it up for us on the balcony. The breakfast was great! We requested a late-check out and were granted that without any issue.

This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. I am sure the service during peak times is probably not as on point as it was when we were there, but would probably still be exceptional. We would return in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Pay the extra money for the seaview room, it is well worth it. The city view rooms are looking at a...

Fabulous location right on the beach. Equally fabulous breakfast and friendly and efficient service. Rooms are a little tight if you have a lot of luggage but otherwise very well equipped and clean. Excellent Spa and indoor and outdoor pools.

This hotel has also got that little bit extra appeal which is hard to put one's finger on.

Room Tip: Go for the 4th floor. Great view of the sea and beach.

Visited in October 2011 very impressed with the service throughout the hotel. The pool area, gym and spa are first class. Only area that could be improved was the lack of table service by the pool and i got allocated a smooking room by mistake, although in fairness this was dealt with professionally by the reception team.

The hotel is wonderfully clean and well run. We had a great room with a sea view and balcony. I would have given it 5 stars but there were a few details missing. Our bed was comfortable and the room was spotless, but I wish the room bigger. Seriously, an extra 2 feet wider would have been great. The room should have some added storage it you decide to place items in drawers. The bathroom was great with the exception of the bathtub. If the hotel it wants to be luxurious a great bathtub is a must. This dated plastic one could barely contain my child. Towels were grand and I would love to have them in my home.

The breakfasts were not included in our rate, but totally worth the high price. It was spoiled rotten at its best. Hundreds of items to choose from...oh what will I have today! Throughout the day there was outdoor seating with beverage service. Super wonderful. I still think about the coffee. The room service menu was a different matter. Extraordinary high prices and the food was mediocre at best. I don't usually mind paying extra for room service but this was excessive and the choices and the food were a big let down.

The hotel is out of the way from the center city, but taxis are at the ready all day and relatively inexpensive . We did not feel that we were missing out on anything. The beach was nice to have (wish it was a bit cleaner but it is a city afterall) and all the site were in easy reach.

The pools were very nice, but it was a bit too cold to go in. Heating the outdoor pool would have been amazing as it was warm enough during the day to be in the sun in a swimsuit. The indoor pool was also a bit cold but manageable. It was strange that they did not include the hottub as part of the experience. In order to use the hottub it was part of a multi-temperature water spa experience at a cost of 45 euros. Children also were not allowed to use this service .

I would stay it again and recommend to my friends.
