“Great Hotel but very far away from the El Palacio de Congresos de Valencia (Congress center)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2011

I recently stayed at this hotel when I was in Valencia attending a Conference. This is a very nice hotel - right next to the beach and the boardwalk which has nice restaurants. However, this is not the hotel to stay if you're attending meetings at the El Palacio de Congresos de Valencia or the downtown area. This hotel is about 1/2 hour away from the downtown/congress center. If you're planning on taking a metro, forget about it- you have to switch 2 trains and takes about 45 min-an hour to get to downtown. The taxi rides each way is about 10-15 Euros. So do yourself a favor, if you're attending a conference at the Congress center, pick a hotel close in downtown.

Las Arenas is a beautiful hotel. The lobby with views on the gardens and the sea set the scene for a perfect stay. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel accommodated our early check-in request at 10am.
Rooms are very nice and all the ones facing the sea have nice balconies with stunning views. Sleep quality is excellent and bathrooms are amazing. We could not fault the room. The hotel provides free Wi- which is an additional benefit.
The pool (only open in summer) is large and would provide ample space for all the guests. The grounds are large enough with retreat areas to ensure a relaxing time. The indoor pool is very small. The gym has the latest equipment and faces the sea.

The breakfast buffet offers everything anyone could want and the quality of food is outstanding.

Las Arenas is a beach hotel. The centre of Valencia can be reached by public transport within 25 minutes. By taxi the centre is a 10 minute ride.
There are a few restaurants on the beach next to the hotel but not much else in the area.
This hotel is just the perfect choice for a long week-end combining sightseeing with relaxation.

excellent hotel, with nice sea views... but next to a neighbourhood that feels unsafe :-((((
some of the surrounding bars with terrible customer service attitudes: if you're a tourist you will be treated as such. disappointing.

After a few months hard work, we decided to take a rest abroad (Valencia Spain) to end 2010 and start 2011.
We booked Las Arenas for four days. From the moment we arrived till the moment we left the hotel, we enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Staff was extremely kind and helpful, facilities (room, Spa, fitness, public spaces) were not only clean but nice and friendly to stay.
It was that damn good that we decided to spend maximum time in the hotel and "forgot" to visit the city!!!

Although far from from cheap, this hotel is worth any euro you put in it. Congratulations to management and staff. Keep up the good service. We will return...

We spent 2 days after Christmas here, and we weren't disappointed in any way. We had one of the cheapest rooms with a city view and the room and bathroom were superb.
The sheets were of a high quality, the flatscreen tv great and if this was a "cheap" bathroom I'd love to see the expensive ones! There were his and her glass sinks, a full-length bath and a fabulous shower cabin with massage jets.
Often in 4star hotels we've seen stains on the chairs, and the curtains have been falling off, but this hotel is the best we've been to in Europe. I was dubious at having to pay 25euros per person for breakfast, but the quality and service made it worthwhile. The orange juice and coffee just kept coming with attentive but not in your face service.
The situation of this hotel is great - very near a metro and almost on the beach.
There are attractive gardens and in the summer it must be really great as the pool looks huge.
The desk staff were so helpful - the one day we couldn't hear the movie very well in the bedroom and the maintenance staff were there in no time adjusting the volume.
The desk staff speak excellent English, better than our Spanish and we live in Spain!!!!
I tried to find fault with this hotel as my husband always calls me a clerk of works, but I couldn't and was loathe to leave. We'll be back.
