“Comfortable Hotel On The Beach.”
Reviewed September 17, 2009

A perfectly placed hotel, on the beach, next to many bars and restaurants and two minutes from the tram stop to take you into the historical centre and even to the airport. Also if you are a F1 fan, this hotel overlooks the bend after the swing bridge, a sensational view from the roof deck.
My wife and I found the hotel staff friendly and helpful. The rooms were kept spotlessly clean, towels changed daily and bedding every other day. The hotel supplied towelling robes and beach towels. The bathroom has a whirlpool jet bath, ideal after a long hard day sunbathing or sight seeing. The rooms have flat screen TV and free hardwire access for laptops. There is also free wifi available, accessible in the hotel lobby or the beach bar. In the time I was there I never managed a connection on my PDA or IPod touch.
In the basement here is a well equipped gym, Jacuzzi and squash court for the use of guests, the rood sun deck also has a Jacuzzi and plenty of sun loungers. We were room only so I can only comment from what I read from the menu, which seemed a varied international choice.
The beach stretches for mile with clean golden sand which is kept very clean as was the entire beach promenade area. You are spoilt for choice for restaurants, fish being the speciality, as well as paella. Should you tire of fish check out a family run restaurant called La Pampa opposite the Las Arena hotel. Its speciality is Argentinean meat dishes and home made sausages, worth a try. As is the hotel Neptuno and Valencia.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights arriving on Saturday 12th September. When we walked up to the hotel, we were really pleased with what we could see, and thought, yes we have made a good choice. Location was very close to the tram/metor for easy link to airport, it was beach front location, and had an array of restaurants to choose from in the evening. All seemed good, until we went to bed on Saturday evening. There unfortunately was a open air roof top nightclub, that boomed music out intil 6am in the morning, and on top of this was the street revellers falling into and out of ther nightclub. Great hotel if you don't want any sleep over the weekend.

Trandy hotel on the beach and close to the tram station that links to the metro. Rooms are very bright (corner rooms) cleanliness is questionable.

What a great location if you need to be in bustling Valencia - Right on the beach - great area of food - lots nice bars - relaxing -This Hotel is a hate it or love it experience I think - due to inconsistancy with staff I would imagine- they are trying to cut corners in the wrong places - bathroom products for example - make such a subliminal impression - anyway - I loved it - its funky and in a good place to relax - especially after a hard days graft!!

I can recommend this hotel. The rooms are great, the common areas are very smart and there is a cool sea-front bar that serves great drinks and nibbles.

We had breakfast in the restaurant most mornings and it was really great, lots of choice and all very clean and fresh.

The hotel also has a sun deck on the roof which is also really smart and has a jacuzzi and plays chilled music. It is lovely to sunbathe up there if you are fed up with the beach and can enjoy the surrounding views.

The hotel is right on the sea front so is really handy for the beach and it is also about 5 minutes walk away from the tram station which gets you into the old town.

I would definately stay in this hotel again but perhaps not in July/August as I can imagine that the area and the hotel would get really busy.

While in Valencia we enjoyed the Oceanagraphic Europe's biggest aquarium. Is was really good and we enjoyed it but it was pricey at 26 Euros each. We also ate in a FABULOUS tapas restaurant called Montania which was 5 minutes drive from the sea front.

Stayed in this hotel over Christmas 2008 and despite other reviews, the reception staff and duty manager could not have been more friendly and helpful. Room comfortable and a little noisy due to festivities and building work, but right on promenade with views of sea and harbour.
Only 200 yards from tram which links with metro system right into the heart of Valencia and also fairly convenient for the new Oceanographic centre and other attractions.
Only gripe is that bar and restaurant prices are pretty steep, even for a near city hotel.
Would definitely return to this hotel.

I stayed at the Hotel Neptuno with 9 girlfriends from 4-7 September and thought it was great for weekend break.

Unlike some other reviewers we found the reception staff to be perfectly friendly and efficient. The service in the bar on occasion did leave something to be desired. On our first evening it took an exceptionally long time for the bar staff to take our first order and they only did so after we cornered one waitress whilst she was clearing a table of empty glasses. Having said that, the bar serves a fantastic (huge) G&T. The bar itself looks out over the beach and has a very chic atmosphere. If they could sort out the service it would be exceptional.

The rooms are quite small but perfectly functional, fixtures and fittings are modern and our room was quiet enough to get a good night's sleep.

The breakfast each morning was fantastic - cereals, variety of bread, croissants, cold meats & excellent cheese plus a hot food selection- we managed to spend over an hour at breakfast alone.

There are plenty of restaurants and a few bars along the strip where the hotel is situated. La Pepica which is right next door to the hotel is well worth a visit - great paella. It is very popular so it's best to book ahead.

The rooftop jacuzzi is small but we found that the views from the rooftop terrace made a perfect venue for a pre-dinner drink at sunset.

For those who want to venture into the city there is a tram stop approximately 10 minutes walk from the hotel, and there is also a small market close to the hotel if you fancy a bit of local shopping after a day on the beach.

I would certainly stay at this hotel again, and if you are a grand prix fan this hotel was very close to all the action.
