After a bad experience somewhere else at dinner the previous night, we managed to find this restaurant near our hotel having done some research via Tripadvisor.
How pleased were we that we found it!
A very nice waiter looked after us, trying his best to speak English. As it was a Monday, there was no fresh fish, but we had cod with tasty tomato sauce covering, accompanied by the house salad.
Encouraged by the good experience, we booked again for the following night, and weren't disappointed. We had three courses, all of which were very tasty and good value.
There seems to be no wine list - you just go to wine rack and select the bottle that you want (duly priced) - works OK for me!
It is correct that the food is perhaps rather simple & rustic, but it is tasty, well cooked, and nicely presented in a nice small restaurant with a good ambience. On top of that, the service was very efficient and friendly.
