SH Florazar Valencia
Ranked #79 of 98 Hotels in Valencia
Reviewed January 7, 2014

Having driven around Valencia in the dark trying to work out where we were, we ended up heading back out on one of the main highways travelling north and chanced upon the SH Florazar in Massalfassar. It is one of 3 or 4 Florazar hotels in Valencia. Room very comfortable, plenty of hot water, breakfast more than adequate. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend it and would cheerfully stay there again. On checking out they gave us a small discount voucher for any one of the Florazar hotels, valid for a year. Very good value

Room Tip: All rooms fronting the road seem to have triple glazing and there's no road noise whatsoever.

We stayed in this hotel for a one night, because we traveled farther on the north on the seaboard.
The hotel relatively near from the valencia airport (about 20 km).It can be used, if you are not abl
e to stay in Valencia.Next to is big shop Carrefour.
everything was ok but the location of the hotel is not a for long time
The breakfast was normal, with eggs, toast, chees, ham. juice coffe, sausages, bacon and other.

We stayed three nights and had a lovely room overlooking the Mediterranean. Breakfast was below average and the one meal we had there was nothing great to write home about.
Staff were extremely friendly.
The big plus for this hotel is that it is walking distance to Carrefour (French grocery chain), many other stores plus couple of other restaurants. It is about 20 mins driving distance from Valencia.

A very reasonable hotel for the facilities offered.

The only negative side I would like to point out is that the non smoking rooms, elevators and reception smell of cigarette smoke. I thought there was a law against smoking in public areas.

Room Tip: Check out the rooms for smoke before checking in.

This Hotel was booked for a mix vacation at beach and city. For that we rented a car which allowed full mobility for my family of 2+1 small baby daughter for almost a week. Having this said, we only used the Hotel to sleep, eat breakfast and late in the day swim at the pool.
For that, the sleeping condition is good, rooms are updated and confortable. As for breakfast it was way bellow average in terms of variaty, more so if you stay for a long period of time like us. Sad to notice that mugs and some silverware were not properly clean - having stains from previous users which the washing machine was unnable to clean. OK, we just chose to use other mugs and silverware, but it force us to think less of this hotel.
As for the pool, it is nice, for a 15 minutes stay, as it is small and with no proper friendly surrondings. But it is clean and facing the sun.
Finnally the location, we didn't spend much time looking for a better hotel, but if you have a car you'll expand your alternatives and maybe find a better proposal - Valencia is about 10 minutes drive. If not, and you are looking to use the beach close by, please be aware that the path to the beach is quite dangerous and not very wise to do on foot. But ovbiously you can try it.
As a large hotel chain, we feel like it should have surpriesed us in some way for a superior quality.

We thank you for your effort and time to comment on your recent stay at our hotel.

Your feedback is very important to us, and it will help us to identify the improvement areas and apply the corrective measures. We have taken notice of the areas you have evaluated with lower scores. Specially the breakfast.

We set off on a ten thousand kilometres trek through southern Europe without pre booking any of the hotels wanting to retain freedom of movement and not be bound by bookings and schedules. It worked great and out of fifteen nights it was only once that we had a slight problem and had to take what was on offer and that was a little more expensive than what we normally find. Florazar is a modern hotel some fifteen kilometres before Valencia. Good parking facilities and safe, new modern and well designed hotel. 80 Euros for two people.

My daughter,my 13yr old grandson and me stayed at this hotel in October 2012 for a week. The hotel itself was very good,it was really clean and the staff were all polite and tried their best to be helpful. The problem was that if you go for a summer holiday, please be aware of the following,If you don't drive it costs 25 euros each way to get to Valencia,The hotel looks onto a beach but you can't get to it as there are no paths or subways and you would take your life in your hands crossing the motorways,The hotel is next to an outlet type shopping centre which had a Mcdonalds and two cafes. On Sundays and holy days the whole centre was closed so there was nowhere to get any food. Our hotel advertised a snack-bar but there was none, all it served was drinks and the hotel didn't do lunch! We were told to go to the garage next door to buy food!!!The hotel doesn't have a money-changing facility so take euros. There was nothing for my grandson to do as the pool was closed. There was nowhere to sit outside and there are no balconies in this hotel so you feel trapped indoors. This should not be advertised as a holiday hotel as its a business hotel or a stopover for people on tours. We were very disappointed and wouldn't stay there for a holiday again although the hotelwas very nice.

disgusting food, industrial area, you need to run across highway to get to the beach, most of staff cannot speak english, rude people on the reception, only Enrique was nice guy which speak english, the only competent person in this place. Taxi is the only transport to get somewhere, to the city centre of valencia cost around 15 euro. Thank God that McDonald and Carrefour was near so we can buy some normal food.
I bought special offer on booking.com with Valencian Lunch ( I get disgusting second life chicken, and chips :D ) and breakfast ( cold scrambled eggs) if you want to have some nice spanish food, this is not the right place definately.

Room was very nice though, I can recommend that hotel only if you are on the way, and you have your own car, dbl room cost 40 euro which is pretty cheap, but also I find hostel in city of Valencia for 50 euro so I think its not make sense to live so far away from town and pay for taxi.

The closest public transport is metro from station Museros, 50 min walking if you fit :D which is going to city centre and airport as well.
