We loved the location, the rooms, the staff, the proximity to many things and could abandon our car.
Staff was always helpful and went out of their way: reception, porters, barmen...
We shall be back for a longer stay next year.

My Wife and I stayed at this lovely Hotel for 4 nights. The building is beautiful and steeped in a great deal of history. We stayed in the Terrace Room (number 10) which was wonderful, and we had breakfast on our Terrace most days. The staff could not be more helpful (and even brought up a sun parasol to our room when we asked for it, it was far too hot to sit on the Terrace without it). We ordered some Cava for our arrival, and some complementary patisserie was provided, which were delicious. Each night there was a turn down service, providing sweets and the weather forecast for the next day, which was a very nice touch. The outside bar area was closed for a few days for replenishment works whilst we were there, but this did not really effect us (and the painting works were suspended whilst we had breakfast on our Terrace, which was very much appreciated). The only real issue we had, was that on the last night room 11 (the Suite, which has an interconnecting door with room 10) decided to have a party until 3am (with people coming and going all night, loud music and around 6-8 people shouting to each other). To the Hotel staff's credit, they did call room 11, twice, to ask that they turn the music off and keep their voices down, but little notice was taken. This was of course not the Hotel's fault, but I cannot imagine this would be tolerated in a UK 5* Hotel. It gives a Hotel a bad name to tolerate that sort of behaviour, and attracts the wrong clientele. Such a shame and a bad end to a lovely trip.

From the very first moment we entered the hotel we fehlt extremly comfortable. We met extremly friendly staff who always helped us in a great and courteous way. Breakfast is perfect for everyone. In the room you will find lovely little things in every corner. For my mom, the sweet attentions changing every day were a real highlight. The non alcoholic mojitos we got at the bar where also an enrichment for our stay. The proximity of the hotel to the city is unbeatable. Many thanks to the incredibly cordial staff. I‘ll be back. I wrote this review on behalf of my wife.

Dear TJuergen,

Thank you very much for your great review on behalf of the entire family.

We are glad to read that the non-alcoholic Mojitos from the Meta Bar and our sweets contributed to the success of your stay and our staff is flattered to receive such kind words for their excellent work.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Best regards,
Martin Stöger / Team Caro Hotel

Some really nice touches with little desserts left in your room. Really attentive staff. The reception staff were really helpful and always endeavour to help. Smaller hotel but makes up with a positive atmosphere.

The hotel was beautiful and immaculate. It was in an ideal location and the staff were very friendly. I was disappointed in the pool which was very small and like a fish tank. The bar closed early in the evening which was a bit frustrating but otherwise a fabulous hotel.

Room tip: The room with the terrace, room 10, was lovely but a bit small. Room 21 was beautiful and large.

Dear Margaret,

Thank you very much for your lovely words for our staff as well as for your honest feedback.

All of our rooms are very unique and have their special charm. The Marquis's Terrace #10 is slightly smaller but you have your private terrace overlooking the courtyard whereas #21 is more spacious with a view of Almirante Street. We encourage everyone to have a look on our website where you find photos and detailed descriptions of all rooms as well as other parts of the hotel such as the splash pool.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Best regards,
Martin Stöger / Team Caro Hotel
