“lovely place for families travelling with children”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

We spent two entire days visiting this place. We spent one day at the Science Museum and the second one at the Oceanographic. Our children aged 4, 6 and 8 loved them both. We couldn't drag them away. Both attractions are spread over larger areas. There is room to run around and exprience them well. The bars/restaurants are rather on the expensive side so we recommend you take a packed lunch as well as lots to drink.

“MUST SEE!”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

Its a great place to visit - definitely my number one spot! The buildings themselves and architecture is impressive. We got a ticket to see the planetarium, the aquarium and science museum - although expensive at 32 euros each it was certainly worth it and you get a full days worth of entertainment from it

“Terrific architecture but let down by the exhibits”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

The whole of this area is quite something, with great architectural views that are worth looking at from all sides, so do walk around the whole place. The science area itself on 3 floors is very large. Although there were some hands on exhibits, in general the features were fairly dry with large and overdone wordy sections. Some areas were closed e.g. a gravity area sounded exciting, but not a chance to see it. They could have enhanced the whole placed with a few mathematical ideas as you get in the UK, but maybe that wasn't the intention. There were hardly any actual pieces of equipment that I could see- one aeroplane ! The top floor hasd a small exhibition of bikes - penny farthings etc but it looked a sorry sight as the rest of that vast area was full of nothing at all. There is a shop but actually nothing educational for sale, except a few books. Pretty pencils etc. are OK, but nothing more exciting. A real wasted opportunity throughout this uninspiring place. A terrible shame as it must have cost a fortune to build.

“Spectacular architecture”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

The buildings here are magnificent. I spent several hours with a friend walking around the site and the area. The architecture of the buildings is incredible. We also had a pitcher of sangria in the bar of the Opera building. Very nice...We didn't go in for any of the attractions, but if you are interested in a science centre, or in watching IMAX movies, this is the place for you.

“interesting and suitable for families and children”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

we walked from the town center, using directions on a map, and it was very easy to find. the architecture is very interesting for sure, there are many activities, we noticed lots of families. we visited the aquarium and had fun and spent a great day. on our way back it was hard to find a taxi though! not sure if it was the timing, or we were in a low taxi traffic area. but overall it was a pleasant experience.
