Owner description: DISCOVER THE CIUTAT DE LES ARTS I LES CIÈNCIES. Science, nature and art in a complex devoted to scientific and cultural dissemination in Europe, placed in Valencia. The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia is a unique complex devoted to scientific and cultural dissemination which is made up of five main elements: the Hemisfèric (IMAX cinema and digital projections), the Umbracle (a landscaped vantage point and car park), the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum (an innovative centre of interactive science), the Oceanográfico (the largest aquarium in Europe with over 500 marine species) and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía (which takes care of the operatic programme). The Ágora gives the complex a multifunctional space.

“An amazing architectural indulgence that has cost this city a future of impossible debt”
Reviewed March 1, 2013 via mobile

Yes it is very impressive. A futuristic city of fantasy. White concrete sculpted into buildings of immense beauty and creation. The area is situated at the bottom end of the Turia park and is surrounded by shallow lakes that reflect these glaringly white palaces. It all started with the science museum and the IMax theatre. I have to say the science museum is not one of Europes best by a long way. Next came the opera house, followed by the sports arena, neither of which host sufficient events to show a significant return. There are many open air concerts in this area and various exhibitions. It is worth walking round the area for an hour or so and having a coffee in the park and just taking it all in. The Oceanografic park adjoining blends in very well with the overall architectural concept. I like all the metallic sculptures dotted round the park. But what on earth went on in those council meetings. When you add up the bills for the City of Science, the infrastructure for the Americas Cup and the motor racing circuit, boy you are in the realms of cuckoo land debt. It a shame that many schools won't get built and many hospitals will have their budgets cut. All because of the inflated ego of the Valencian town hall. Enjoy

“A very modern, clean place with a great location”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

A very modern, clean building with a lot of things to see. They have things for the human body that you can experience and learn from. A great way to spend a few hours. There is also a 3-D movie you can see as well.

“Has to be seen”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

This an architectural masterpiece that defies description. There are several space age buildings that seem to rise out of Turia Park. they include a science museum, a spectacular opera house with four theatres, a planetarium and a building for changing exhibits. Futuristic in white and blue tiles pictures and words do not do it justice.

“Atmospheric Night Walk.”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

Architecture of leisure park.
Free to walk around best at night, great for photos, it was warm enough at midnight in February 17c. Buildings are beautifully modern. Museum attractions not open at night. Nightclubs open on certain days some close for winter. Greatly enjoyed.
