Yes it is very impressive. A futuristic city of fantasy. White concrete sculpted into buildings of immense beauty and creation. The area is situated at the bottom end of the Turia park and is surrounded by shallow lakes that reflect these glaringly white palaces. It all started with the science museum and the IMax theatre. I have to say the science museum is not one of Europes best by a long way. Next came the opera house, followed by the sports arena, neither of which host sufficient events to show a significant return. There are many open air concerts in this area and various exhibitions. It is worth walking round the area for an hour or so and having a coffee in the park and just taking it all in. The Oceanografic park adjoining blends in very well with the overall architectural concept. I like all the metallic sculptures dotted round the park. But what on earth went on in those council meetings. When you add up the bills for the City of Science, the infrastructure for the Americas Cup and the motor racing circuit, boy you are in the realms of cuckoo land debt. It a shame that many schools won't get built and many hospitals will have their budgets cut. All because of the inflated ego of the Valencian town hall. Enjoy
