Very nice, clean, solid hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. I do NOT understand the reviews that complain about the front desk staff. Nor did we have any problems with noise from other rooms or the street. Room may seem small to North Americans but is quite acceptable, and ours was equipped with a bathtub, a real boon for tired tourist feet. No coffee machine in room, but minibar has space for a few of one's own items. Location is great, right on the Plaza del Ayuntamiento -- that is, smack dab in the middle of the old town with restaurants, coffee shops, Starbucks, post office, and more all nearby, including the very nice Restaurante Marisquería Civera. Did not eat at hotel, so can't speak to that aspect. WARNING: Be sure you're booking into the Melia Plaza, at Plaza del Ayuntamiento, as there's another hotel called the Melia Valencia, located far from downtown at Avenida Cortes Valencianas.

I was stayding during five nights at this excelent hotel. It is well located and I enclose some photos to confirm this. There is a corridor that keeps you very isolated from any noise outside. It is very very clean and has a good space and lovely and comfortable bed.
I suggest to have breakfast in the hotel and you will have the opportunity to enjoy natural orange juice, roasted apples, a wide variety of teas, nice fresh bread ... and Expresso coffee. The hotel has music in public spaces and that makes a good atmosphere around. You can use the safety box in the room and it is very convenient.
Near the hotel in calle San Vincent Mártir, you can have snacks like good cakes at panpan and also search for a good bakery in front of Horchateria del Siglo very close to Plaza de la Reina. Very close to the hotel you have the bus stop that you can take to the beach and it is the number 19.
In the Plaza de Ayuntamiento at the beginning of the (Street) Calle Marques Sotello you can take the bus number 35 to the City of Arts and Sciences.

I suggest to buy, in the Plaza de la Reina near Molto, a ticket for 48 hours to use in Bus Touristic and it will be a very nice option to visit Historic Valentia and Maritim Valentia and costs only 18 euros. You can get in and choose the places you want visit and go back and go on the trip through the city and you can listen all the explanations about the main pllaces . It is very flexible and easier to visit the big city. Try, please. Forget the VLC tourist card because it is very expensive as each bus ticket is just 1,5 euro. By te way, itis very easy to go from airport to the hotel, just take lines 3 or 5 and the cost is 4,9 euros. The metro station is Xativa and it is only ten minutes to get the hotel and the pavement of the streets is marble and good to the suitcases.

The weather is always fine and you feel very safe walking in the streets.

Valentia is a good option for a holiday and please choose this hotel and you will enjoy a lot.

Room Tip: Ask for higher floors and with view to the plaza de ayuntamiento

Stayed here on the first night of a road trip across Spain. Obviously in Valencia, you have a myriad of hotel choice, but for the price and such a superb location, it does not get much better than this.
Moderately sized room, facing the rear of the hotel so was quite quiet, although no view. A kettle in the room would have been nice, as a Brit, it is just something that we are used to.
Three things I look for, a good shower, good staff and a clean room. This ticked all the boxes.

I would definitely use again.

Stay here regularly on business and never disappointed. Rooms are typical euro small but very comfortable and bathrooms very nice. Rooms with the little balcony's give you a nice place to chill out and surf the good free wifi before walking to one of the many restaurants in the very heart of Valencia.

The first night of a boy's road trip across Spain and this place really was a great start. Very very central and walkable to everywhere. Valencia is a great city to walk about and although we were on the back (i.e. no view over the square) there was only minimal noise when I left the balcony door open for air (floor 6). The staff were great and very efficient and they directed us to the secure parking (2 mins walk away) using a map and picture combo. Very happy with the whole place and location and would deffo recommend this place. Thanks guys, a great job done.

This is one of the best hotels we ever stayed at. It ticked all the boxes. Only exception: no coffee making facilities in the room. However, two Starbucks round the corner. Location could not be better: very central on Plaza del Ayuntamieno. Old town and all the sights within easy walking distance. Buses on the doorstep: number 19 goes to the beach and the harbour, 13 and 35 go to Calatrava's Ciudad de las Ciencias, 15 goes to Oceanografic. Metro and railway station Xativa are just down the road. There is a Mercadona supermarket nearby, behind Correos in Calle Sagasta. The rooms looking onto the square are fantastic. Make sure to ask for the view! We had standard room 703, on the 7th floor, with balcony. Twin beds huge and comfortable, good sized bathroom, sufficient storage space, two comfortable chairs. Very quiet at night. Inside door for even more peace and quiet. Safety box large enough to hold I-pad and camera. Buffet breakfast very good. We booked through Thomas Cook, which made it affordable at € 138 per night, including breakfast. Most nights we had dinner at Neco: good food and good value. Valencia is a beautiful city. We stayed a whole week and never had a dull moment!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the square on a high floor.
