Overall I was very satisfied with my weekend stay.
I chose this hotel for its unbeatable price and quite central location - close to the historic centre and directly at the "Turia" metro station. Booked my stay on Expo Hotels own website - booking process short and easy, Executive single room at 55EUR/night including breakfast!
Check-in was quick - staff polite with good English skills, but not overly friendly. I was given an Executive room on the 7th floor. It was quite spacious: large closet with enough coat hangers, large desk with a chair, very comfortable King-size bed. Although it faced the street, the room was quiet enough. Bathroom is spacious with spotlessly clean bath and WC.
On the downside the TV is antic and several channels were blurred. Furthermore the air-conditioning did not work properly, blasting hot air only!
Breakfast buffet is well-presented and quite tasty. Great choice of Spanish food (tortilla, Iberian cured ham, almond cake, etc) - otherwise usual offering of cold cuts, cheese, yoghurts, muesli, cereals. Scrambled eggs were delicious. On the downside the breakfast room is very much canteen-like - dark and rather impersonal. No newspapers available and staff very slow to clean up tables - a bit disappointing.
All in all I can recommend this hotel for its great value for money. Hotel is a bit impersonal, but room rate during low season is unbeatable.More
