We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and the reception staff were exceptional in sorting out a minor problem we had. Yes the furniture is a little dated but for the price you pay everything far exceeded my expectations. We had dinner in the restaurant which was good value for money and the breakfast was plenty for a Spanish breakfast.More
Apart from the excellent location of the Expo Hotel - next to the Turia Metro, bus stops outside serving both downtown and to the beach and slap right next to El Corte Ingles, there is little good to say about the hotel itself. It is 3* at best but there are plenty of much better hotels in Valencia for the price. Welcome on reception is fine and the staff are young and helpful. However the rooms are poorly furnished, with thin walls and the bathrooms need modernising. It is a large hotel full of budget/organised coach tour guests - OK for a couple of nights but nothing more. Not really recommended unless you are offered a very low rate or cant find a better option in Valencia elsewhere.
the hotel is pretty but at this hotel lacks a fundamental factor that is engineering, there are no power outlets next to the bed, the air conditioning makes a sound absurd that does not let you sleep at night, the decor recalls the grandmother's house, and it is strange because they possess a structure with a lot of potential they have a pool and a gym but keep closed, why??
We spent one night at the Expo Hotel. The reception area was impresive and the check-in was prompt. The room was a good size and it was clean and tidy. We arrived at station Valencia North and after a short walk we arrived at the metro station at Placa Espanya, two stops later we arrived at Metro Station "Turia" and over the road was the hotel. We easily walked from the hotel to the old town and the sights and back down to the railway station where we had a meal in China town. The hotel is beside a shopping mall with a major department store and supermarket plus many eateries.
I would recommend this hotel for its location, price and proximity to Valencia city. I will make a point to stay here again in future.
Rooms were dated but always very clean. Very large and spacious however the air conditioning didn't work but opening the window fixed that. Good location, 1 minute walk from Turia metro and then no more than 10 mins till Xatvia. Awesome coffe downstairs and good view from rooftop
We managed to book a 3-bed room for the night of the fallas crema, but did not sleep well even when we got to bed at 330am!
Being on the 10th floor the room was exceedingly stuffy and warm.
We had to get our toilet fixed, because the flush stopped working, but the maintenance man told us that the air-con is switched off in the winter months.
He suggested that to get air we leave the window open, but the ventilation was inadequate and there was a lot of street noise from traffic below.
The location was good for what we needed, with the shopping centre and many bars and restaurants around.
Staff at reception spoke English, and we had a good cup of tea at the hotel bar. However we had decided we wanted a nice nightcap when we got back exhausted, but the bar was firmly closed then.
Cannot comment on the breakfast as we walked over the road to a small bar, after our poor night's sleep!
