“Good Hotel and Location in Valencia”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

Stayed for 6 nights end of April 2013. Good location for the metro 50 yards from the front of the hotel. Reception staff were good and friendly. We had a superior room on the 7th floor overlooked the main road in front of the hotel not a problem with noise. The cleaning ladies did an excellent job. We had clean bed linen changed twice during our stay. The breakfast was 8.50euros and was very good. Will certainly stay at the Expo when in Valencia again.

Room Tip: Choose a superior room on high nfloor

This hotel and its rooms looked good in the photos, however they do not match up to the reality. Firstly the hotel is quite a long walk from the city centre (more than 30 minutes). You can get a sense of ageing from the outside and even more when you go in. The reception staff spoke very little English, which was a bit inconvenient. The bedroom and bathroom both need new furnishings as the existing ones seem very old. Didn't get the chance to check out the swimming pool. All in all, an average hotel at an average price.

This hotel is centrally located and close to a shopping mall, shops, cafes and bars. The rooms are basic but clean and the bed and pillows are comfy.. Bring ear plugs though as the walls and ceilings are extremely thin and you will hear people even walking around in their rooms,

The pool on the roof was completely unusable and neglected, brown water, disgusting.

The staff we dealt with at reception were not friendly. We were first given a room next to the elevator which was noisy then when we asked to change rooms they put us in a room next to the noisy stairs! Its an OK hotel for the price.

Dear guest,
First of all we would like to thank you for taking time for sharing your impressions about our hotel. On the other hand, we are very sorry for the inconveniences we may have caused you by noise in your room and the treatment of the reception staff, we can ensure that such complaints are very unusual for us. As far as the swimming pool is concerned, we believe that there has been a misunderstanding because the swimming pool is seasonal and will not open till May 1.
Kind Regards,

We have just spent four nights at this hotel and I personally think it was fine. The information on the website does need updating eg there is a mini bar in the room but its main purpose seems to be used as a fridge. The website said that the rooms did not have a hairdryer but this could be requested from the reception, there was one already in the bathroom. The hotel was decorated in typical Spanish style but it did look a little tired in places. Overall though I would stay at this hotel again as it is so central.

I have just stayed at the Expo Hotel in Valencia and can say that it was a good hotel for my stay over on a business trip. All the public areas were good and clean, the bar was OK, with good service, reception and staff very good and helpful. I used the restaurant for breakfast and found it to be very good with plenty of choice and enough choice of food to set me up for the day.
My room was however a little bit tired, it was in need of a bit of modernisation. Having said that, the bed linen was clean, as was the rest of the room and bathroom. The rooms and corridors leading to them were a bit uninviting, OK once in the room. Downstairs in the public areas the decor was a bit 90's but clean and fresh. The hotel location is good, being adjacent to the Metro and close by to the linear park which will allow you to easily walk to the old town and most of the places of interest in Valencia. The biggest bonus for me was knowing it was -2 degrees back home in th UK whilst I was sitting in +21 degrees, clear blue skies in Valencia during February. What a tonic !!

Room Tip: I had a room on the front, which had the sun steaming into, late into the afternoon / evening.
