A beautiful paradox tucked away in the alleyways behind Plaza de la Virgen, this startling little gem has it all. There is no doubt that this is one of the finest places to eat in the city.

Traditional fixtures and fittings and the couple-ran environment in this small 9-10 tabled eatery fail to give a hint to that which the grand entrance door may. The dishes are an absolutely treat, rooted in tradition but modernised in complexity.

I went with a friend for lunch and we ordered the fixed menu, which is 5 small courses. There was no choice whatsoever, including for the wine, and frankly I found that refreshing and unoffensive. Every course was a grand new experience, containing hints of dishes well-known throughout Valencia, but prepared with a tantalising twist of modern creativity. Although the portion sizes are very small, I was pleasently surprised to find myself completely satisfied after all 5 courses.

Recommended by a Scot I have little faith in, this charming little restaurant turned out to be an absolute gem! Run by an attentive couple, the decor is stylish but not intimidating or sparse and the food is superb. At 12e for five courses the set menu is historic value for money. We had cucumber gazpacho, mussels with bechamel sauce, Thai hamburgers with gambas, curried fish and peaches with lavender ice-cream. The waitress was ever chirpy and urged us to choose a wonderful deep chilled rose. The perfect place to woo a loved one or go with friends. This has just become a new favourite of mine in Valencia.

This is a very small restaurant, run by a couple. While she is in charge of a very charming service, he is preparing the meals in the open kitchen with a maximum of personal attention.
The restaurant offers a lunch menu at an incredibly low price of 12 Euro - for which you get a truely delicious five course menu combining culinary experiences from several continents.

If you are really hungry, you might prefer the somewhat more substantial menu at the Seu Xerrea restaurant next door ...

We were told about this place from a cool shop keeper nearby who described 'every dish is made with love'...this is certainly true. We tried to go for lunch but they were fully booked, so went that evening. They served Tapas with a twist, beautifully presented little dishes, with Heston style experimentation. It is a small place, not lavishly decortated, but the lady serving and the gentlemen cooking put everything into their food and the place has a great atmosphere. The best place we ate in Valencia (the others were Michellin star) by far. Great find. Also we paid €60 for a bottle of Cava 3 courses and side dishes, bargain!

We almost accidentally found this lovely little restaurant. ( actually it 's situated right next to famous Seu Xerea )
They serve 5 course set menu. Every plate was very enjoyable. Maybe nothing specutacular, but very fresh and full of flavours. Typical Valencian cuisin with oriental / mexican twist which we found quite interesting.
Presentation was so cute ! Portinon was not that big, but you'll find you're really full after 5 course menu.
Service was so friendly. We really enjoyed our meal there.
Decor is modest, but nice relax atmospher. You'll enjoy nice long lunch at this hidden gem. ( We did , indeed ! : D )
