“The chef understand what vegetarian means.”
Reviewed December 12, 2012

Last night we wanted a meal in the city and the restaurant we went to 4 years ago is now a bike shop. Being vegetarian and without another recommendation on a Tuesday night in December could have been a problem but we found a little gem here. The waiter was great and the food, fresh, tasty and well presented. The meal was 45€ a la carte for 2- 1shared starter, 2 main courses, 2 deserts, 2 drinks and 2 coffees. If you have room left after your main course and veggie or not try the brownies for a great end to the meal. The PR man from the restaurant opposite this one showed us the way when he realised that his idea of removing some fish from a plate was not going to tempt us into his restaurant.

“food was great, perfect for sharing with a few friends”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

We were told by the guy out the front that the tapas were large and he wasn't wrong - the food was delicious though so we certainly didn't mind! Between four of us we shared 6 dishes, everything was really tasty. The tempura calamari was a definite winner, we also had the fried camembert, spicy potatoes, blood sausage, meatballs and northern sausage, all really good.
We wanted to sit outside but there was no room so we sat inside but the atmosphere was great inside as well. Cocktails were really tasty and the service was fantastic despite us still being there after 1am on a Monday morning.

“relaxed”
Reviewed May 14, 2012

Just walked by in the Calla Caballeros looking for a place to have a drink and a bite and watch the crowd. They have a couple of tables outside... Truly enjoyed the tapa (Chitorra con piementos - but then again I really like spanish sausages and the piementos de padron); great quality; but too much of it - it was dinner rather than the start of an evening trying a couple of small bites here and there...

“OK, but nothing extraordinary”
Reviewed March 4, 2012

We had a set daily menu for 12.50 euros (VAT not included) which included three small starters to share (a salad, fried squid rings and a small meatball in sauce each), a main course to be chosen from 5 or 6 selected dishes and a dessert. The PR boy outside the door told us that the first drink would be included in the price as well.
The food was ok, but nothing special. Service was also ok, no more no less. On the bill we saw that the waiter had charged us for the first drinks, but he took them off the bill without any problem when pointing out we had been told they were included in the menu price.
The decor is nice, bright and modern. The location is very central in the Carmen neighborhood, but you can get better and more authentic food for 12.50 euros in Valencia.

“Ok food, good deal!”
Reviewed September 13, 2011

Wine was fantastic and service was ok. Food wasn't anything to shout about but ok overall. The portions for the set menu were small, particularly the dessert.

Nice ish location, we sat outside and there was a lot going on, so good to do people watching!
