Restaurant with 10 tables. You need to make a reservation in advance. But it's worth it. Take the surprise menu! My husband and daughter are difficult eaters but they loved everything. 100 Euros for 3 persons including a bottle of wine. Sure it's a bit more expensive than the regular restaurants in Valencia but worth every penny. We'll definitely be back next time we'll visit.

By far one of the highlights of our trip to Valencia. We knew we wanted to visit after reading fantastic reviews but we couldn’t have predicted this.
The staff were excellent - friendly and recommend a variety of dishes to try.
Everything was perfectly presented and the flavours and combos were to die for. We just wished it was open Sunday/Monday so we could’ve gone again!! A reason to come back to Valencia!!

If I have to describe this restaurant in one word it would be 'magnificent'. The boys from Kaori takes Japanese food to a whole new level. The structure, color and flavors of the food are simply amazing. "we" agreed that we've never eaten this delicious (Japanese) food in our lifes!
Muchos gracias boys of Kaori! :)

There are lots of reviews of this restaurant in Spanish that describe the fact that it drowns the food in too many competing flavours. Please refer to “Sobrevaluado en las punctuaciones” or “Sushi demasiado elaborado” for very clear descriptions which coincide absolutely with my view.

What I find irksome about it though is that, because the restaurant is full and many people value what it does, the client who does not do so is rather made to feel that they just “don’t get it”. It has been a long time since I was charged for a plate of food that I returned uneaten (whether I offered to pay for it or not) but see that as part of the same attitude.

So, if you like to eat decent ingredients smothered in a bath of conflicting flavours from which they cannot escape, surrounded by tacky urban design to a funk soundtrack (which was pretty good but just not for japanese food), this is the place for you. If you want to eat good food based on the cuisine of Japan there are plenty of far better restaurants for that in this town...where, incidentally, I do live.
