A little gem of a restaurant right in the centre of Valencia!
We ate here on the Saturday night of our stay. I noticed this restaurant while walking through a quiet residential plaza on Friday and as a vegetarian I was having difficulty finding some nice meat free dinners, so I thought this would be a good bet for Sat night. We arrived to a packed restaurant on Saturday without a reservation. Immediatly we were approached by a friendly floor manager and as the restaurant was booked out we were offered a space at the bar area in the centre of the room. The bar proved quite comfortable and was right in the centre of an atmospheric room. The same floor manager came to take our order and offer advice on what to dishes to choose. He even advised me against ordering too much food!! We were also served by a friendly Slovak girl. The food arrived and was absolutely amazing. I have never had Samosa so delicious and I ordered a black lentil dish which was so good that I got it to take away to have for my lunch the next day! My boyfriend was equally happy with his choice. All in all it was spectacular food for an amazing price - €49 for two starters, two mains, two rices, two naans and a pitcher of beer.
As the restaurant was so good we decided to go back on Monday night. We arrived to an empty restaurant but we were undeterred because we already knew the quality of the food! The owner served us that night and like all the staff on Saturday night he was pleasant to chat with and again offered his opinion on what my boyfriend should order, I had already made my mind up before we arrived! We will definately be back on our next trip to Valencia.
