“Good value for money”
Reviewed December 31, 2012 via mobile

The official name for this place is Hostal Venecia and it is officially rated as a 2-star residence. It is not a hotel!
THE POSITIVES
Location - brilliantly located between Estacion del Nord and the old town, thus a 10 minute walk to any where.
The staff - friendly, helpful ane always smiling.
Cleanliness - spotless throughout, especially the bathrooms.
Breakfast - a really good variety and pre-booked only cost €4.50.
Value - you will struggle to find a cheaper rate for the location.
THE NEGATIVES
The beds - are rock hard and I had aching hips every morning.
The internal noise - the walls are thin and the doors are not sealed so you hear everyone coming and going all night.

We spent a weekend in the center of Valencia, and choose to stay at this hotel located at the Plaza de Ayuintamento. That was an excellent choice as we could walk to all places in old town.
The superior rooms were large, but not exactly coosy. The breakfast buffet was very good.

Room Tip: Upgrade to superior room.

Stayed here for just one night on the 20/09/12 as I was there for the Valencia v Bayern Munich football match.booked in with no problems at midday and was allocated a room on the 5th floor and although being alone was given a double bed with a lovely view over the square, just a pity the fountain wasn't on. Great place to stay only mins from train station and right in the centre. Can't wait to go back to this gem of a city and stay at the Venecia

I wish to thank you Fernando y las chicas at the reception who really gave us a big help in a troubled anniversary trip.
We chose to return to Venecia Hotel after we were there in 2008 and we found it really comfortable, easygoing and cheap for being in a very central position! We loved it at first instance even if it's only a 2 stars hotel it really worth more, as it offer free wi-fi, breakfast, and it's only 500mt from railway station and tube stop Xàtiva which takes you directly in downtown from Manises airport. This time we also had room 506 with a stunning view from the balcony and a small but recently refurbish bathroom. Unfortunately we spent there just one night out of the 3 reserved because we had to go back to Italy, but the hotel charge us only for one night and helped us proving with useful infos on trains. We really hope to go back there again and we warmly recommend this hotel..

Room Tip: There are rooms with no window on outside but looking the back stairs..so even if they are comfortab...

We stayed here for four nights during October. We had a room at the side with a balcony, so we had a partial view of the Plaza. The room was small but fine. They had twin beds pushed together but thats quite a typical occurence in continental hotel rooms. Our priority was that it was clean and it was. The staff are helpful. We didnt have breakfast there and there are plenty of places around to get breakfast.
The best thing was the location. It is close to the metro and right on the Plaza Ayunmiento. It is a great base. There are streets nearby for eating and shopping. It is close to the wonderful Mercado Central. You can get the bus 19 on street outside the hotel to beach.
The downside was the noise and we were there at a quiet time. On the weekend nights it was really noisy outside. Bring earplugs.
We didnt spend much time in the hotel and it was perfect for a clean budget option.

Room Tip: I wouldnt chose a room at the front just because its a busy plaza. Views would be lovely, noise leve...

Booked this hostal after reading other reviews. It was a really great place to stay - superb central location, easy to find, near the station and metro, clean and comfortable.

All the staff were extremely helpful - most of them spoke good English and a couple of minor problems we had were quickly sorted out.

The beds were so comfortable and the view from the balcony amazing. The room and the bathroom were small but it didn't really matter. We didn't find the traffic noise intrusive as we were fairly high up and the double glazing and air conditioning worked fine.

Breakfast was very good for the money (5.9 euros) - a good choice with plenty of fresh fruit, cold meats & cheeses, nice fresh pastries, cereals and really excellent orange juice.

There was a lack of lounge space but there is so much to do in Valencia it didn't really matter.

Cafes around the main square were expensive (especially the one underneath the hotel) but just walk one street back and there are plenty of really good cheaper places. Try Taberna Antonio Manuel, San Vicente Martir, 42, 46001 very good tapas (not the bits on bread!) and inexpensive glasses of good house wine.

All in all, an ideal place to stay for couples in the a very central position.

Room Tip: As for high room facing the square for a really great view!
