“Hostal Venecia- Valencia”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2012

This hotel is excellent in every way. It is an amazing price for the quality you get, and it was my favorite hotel while I was in Spain, though other hotels definitely cost more. The staff at the desk were so friendly and helpful, and our room was small but very clean and with an absolutely amazing view. The hotel is literally overlooking the main square of the city, the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, so you are very centrally located. We were so happy with the hotel that we wanted to stay a few more nights, but unfortunately had a train to catch that we couldn't change.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the Plaza del Ayuntamiento... it was beautiful!

My boyfriend and I decided to spend a weekend off in Valencia. I must admit a friend had previously recommended this Hostel to me and her advice was very precious. The hostel is centrally located a few steps away from the main touristic attractions (the cathedral, el barrio del carmen, la estaccion del norte etc) and there is a bust stop just opposite the hostel that drops you off along the beach. The service is great, the staff extremely gentle. About the rooms? We booked a twin room with private ensuite. Despite the fact that the room was not very big (but comfy enough for two people) there is everything you need in it, a spacious wardrobe with hangers, a desk and even toiletry products like shampoo, shower foam and toothpaste (something you don't earsy get when you sleep in a hostel). I would highly reccommend this hostel for its price, its staff and its location.

We stayed in Valencia for one night while visiting from a nearby village. When we arrived at the hotel we discovered that we had actually booked for the following night by accident. This could have been a big issue as we had booked on a very good online offer but the receptionist was fantastic and transferred our booking for no extra cost...excellent service!

The hotel is 10 minutes from the main RENFE station and 10 minutes to the historical centre of Valencia. It is also well served by buses and the metro at the end of the road (needed to get to the modern museums and beach).

Rooms are basic but modern and very clean. One of our party got a room on the corner overlooking the fountains on the street outside which was great.

Overall an excellent value hotel in a perfect location for seeing Valencia.

We spent 2 days here on our Spanish road trip. The hotel is easy to find in Plaza Ayunmiento and sits right in between the modern and old areas of Valencia. Be careful is you're parking your car though as there are 2 parking garages within a jump of each other - we went into the wrong one and then on exit, we got caught up in the one way system so something which should have been easy, actually took about an hour to sort out!
The hotel is spolessly clean with air con, towels, safety deposit box and hair dryer. The bed was comfortable and our room had great views (we requested a high floor).
The old quarter is beautfiul - we just spent time wandering around, soaking up the atmosphere.
The beach is about 30-40 minutes bus ride away - very easy to get to and a massive beach.
The nightlife was great fun - we partied until 7am with a very mixed crowd!
Valencia is beautiful - there's lots to see and do and Hotel Venecia is an ideal base for which you can explore. Highly recommended.

This hotel for some reason gives very good value for many in spite of its extremely good location. We arrived by train to the North station and could easily walk to the hotel that's situated at the main square in the old town, Ayuntamiento. The reception is small and there had been a misunderstanding regarding which rooms to clean but this was quickly solved by giving us another room. The rooms were of ordinary quality, for once we got separate beds instead of the normal rather small double beds. Some good points: the best breakfast on our trip that included five cities (included in the price) and free internet from pc's near the lobby. Price very competetive, 70 euros.

Well located, close to the main railway station, and metro points.
The sites of the old town are all within easy walking distance, and so long as you are happy to explore, you wouldn't require any form of transportation other than your feet!
We stayed for two nights, arrived fairly late on the first night from the train station, but It was easy to find, and checking-in was straight forward. Our air-conditioning stopped working on the second evening, and we were promptly offered a different (nicer) room.
Some of the bedrooms only have internal facing windows, so a view isn't guaranteed, however if like us you only use the room when going to bed, this isn't an issue.
We didn't eat at the hostal, as there were plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby.

This hotel, situated in the centre of the city, overlooks a lovely fountain in the main square. The staff are all helpful and friendly. The breakfast is buffet style providing a good selection of fruit, cereals, cold meat, toast, tea and coffee etc. We have travelled to Valencia many times over the last five years and have stayed at this hotel each time and have never been disappointed. There are two lifts and stairs for the 8 floors for older clients or for those with children. Excellent value for money.

Room Tip: If you travel in October for the 9th October Festival, ask for a room facing the fountain so you can...
