Owner description: BIOPARC VALENCIA is a unique zoo. Its design employs the “zooimmersion” concept, in which visitors are surrounded by meticulous recreations of the natural habitats being presented. Social animals that live together in groups are displayed, as well as groups of different species that coexist in the same habitats. Predatory species are integrated into the visual space, but are separated from other species by barriers invisible to the eye of the visitor, ensuring the safety of both the animals and the people. The animals, vegetation and landscape provide opportunities for discovering the complexity of natural ecosystems.

My wife and I visited the Bioparc on our honeymoon to Spain and were very impressed and stunned by the quality of this place. The animals are from all over Africa, and cover the range from gargantuan African elephants to tiny dwarf mongoose. You can get really close to the animals and see them in a very naturalistic environment. The information provided was multilingual, informative and clear, staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and access to all areas of the zoo was good. The one o'clock bird-and-mammal show was spectacular and not to be missed, including African tawny eagles, black-backed jackals and even porcupines and red river hogs!

My only criticism - or warning - would be that you can't take your own food into the zoo or leave for lunch, so be prepared to pay their prices for food. However, the food was not unreasonably priced and of good quality.

Overall, a fantastic day out and much recommended.

Love the experience in this zoo. Parking is offered at the same place. What I found amazing about the place is how some animals can share the same space in perfect harmony. The place is clean and the animals look well maintained. I enjoyed baby monkeys and hippos playing. This scenario looks like a natural habitat. Animal lovers and children would enjoyed this beautiful Zoo. If you like animal shows check the times. I went with my husband and kids on Monday morning and it was easy to buy tickets. It wasn't crowded.

Great place to visit if you have kids with you, or if you are just a big fan of zoos. You can get really close to the animals and there is even a lemur exhibit where you can walk inside and there is nothing between you and the lemurs! If you can try to go in the morning on a weekday because it will be much less crowded.

This is by far the best Zoo that I have ever been to.

All of the animals are clearly very well cared for in environments that, as closely as possible, resemble their natural habitat. There are no bars or cages in sight here, the animals have lots of space to roam, and they are only separated from humans via water channels, glass on occasions, and small walls.

I would recommend Valencia Bioparc to anyone. A very ethical and ecologically conscious zoo. It is also very much worth the entry fee which is great considering the work that the Bioparc does. Brilliant.
