Owner description: BIOPARC VALENCIA is a unique zoo. Its design employs the “zooimmersion” concept, in which visitors are surrounded by meticulous recreations of the natural habitats being presented. Social animals that live together in groups are displayed, as well as groups of different species that coexist in the same habitats. Predatory species are integrated into the visual space, but are separated from other species by barriers invisible to the eye of the visitor, ensuring the safety of both the animals and the people. The animals, vegetation and landscape provide opportunities for discovering the complexity of natural ecosystems.

Nice alternative in case of a cloudy/rainy day, but nothing special. If you are a regular visitor of zoos and you live in or visit a civilized country, then this zoo will not much differ from other zoos. For children it's of course a guaranteed success

Well worth a visit. Entry ticket is quite expensive but there are very many vouchers, coupons, bundles, etc, so it's worth researching prior to visiting. Enjoyable visit, place is quite spread out. We liked the gorillas, hypos, meerkats, lemurs, etc. Some of the more traditional animals were either missing or we were unlucky (lions, leopards). We visited the restaurant also, zoo type of restaurant, ok but not great. Would recommend for a half day out, especially with discounted entry.

This really is a fantastic zoo. We spent all day in here and could've easily stayed longer - possibly even with a sleepover!!! It's a bit pricey, as others have noted, but it really does offer excellent value for money. In reference to previous reviews; if you can go round here in an hour, then you can't be an animal lover!

The park is excellently laid out, with zones for various African landscapes, including grasslands, the savannah and Madagascar, and the collection of animals ticked all the boxes for the kids: Africa's Big 5 of lions, rhinos, elephants, giraffes and apes!!!! Plus hyenas, lemurs, flamingos, the ubiquitous meerkats, as well as aardvarks, which i'd never seen before, and a bulging aviary of colourful, noisy birds!!! The park plays on the fact that there are no cages, and there are none!!! Just a bit of toughened glass at the gorilla enclosure. The landscapes are wonderfully set out with elaborate rock formations and beautiful waterfalls. In fact, if you carefully select where to take photos, your finished album will look like you've been on safari!!!!

We went in August and were surprised at how few people were visiting. It really was very comfortable walking around, even in the searing heat!!!!! There were no crowds around the major animal spotting areas, such as the gorillas and lions, and we stayed at each for ages. It is worth staying later to see the lions walking around, and hearing the male lion roar!!!!

Reviewers have also noted that they were prevented from taking food in, but we had no problems taking our picnic in, and we weren't challenged by any staff while we sat around munching our baguettes. There's even a Carrefour supermarket just outside the Biopark, so you can stock up on picnic essentials, and also drinks, which are quite expensive in the park. Oh, and there's a Burger King next to the Carrefour, which is certainly cheaper than feeding the family in the park itself.

Finally, we also walked through the Turia to the Biopark, which only took half an hour or so from the Old Town, and was a lovely way to approach the park.

Took only about an hour to go round and see all the animals, however with small children it would probably take longer and the children's gift shops looked really good. You feel very close to most of the animals as there are no cages or bars. The gorilla enclosure is superb. Quite pricey at 23euros an adult, the restaurant was also very pricey and I did see a sign that informed visitors to bring their own food. Taxi from the centre cost approx. 10euros

Despite the reviews that put down my expectation about the place. We had a great fun and enjoed the animals, the place was clean and wounderful layed out (map was misleading) annimals were active and happy . Didnt see tge wlephants but loved the loose birds that flow and walked around us. We pais 17+ for adults and less for kids. Under 3 were free. There are new sections being built .. Cafe not much so we left early for dinner outside.. 2-3 hours are enough. Nice mini play ground for kids to enjoy while we had coffee
