“excellent italian restaurant”
Reviewed June 5, 2011

We saw this restaurant as we were sightseeing that day and decided to book it for the evening.
Decor not to everyone's taste as it tries to represent a cave like atmosphere with stalegmites etc and uneven wall surfaces.
Ambiance good. We were 5 women together having lots of laughs, but it could be equally atmospheric for a romantic meal also
Waiters helpful and friendly and recommened an excellent wine and not too expensive.
Food is high quality menu varied. Thoroughly enjoyable evening

“Awesome place”
Reviewed March 15, 2011

I found this place on TA before I went. Though it was hard to find it was very worth it. The decor is awesome like a cave and I felt the resturant had a very romantic relaxed feeling to it. The food was amazing and the service was great too. My boyfriend got a dish with eggplant on the side and it was Awesome. I still crave it and wish I knew how it was made. Would def check out this place!!

“Dreadful”
Reviewed January 3, 2011

I have to say that the wine (2nd choice, initial one OOS) and bread rolls, were fantastic, and that is where it ended! The menu was very hard to read with it's whimsical typeface, the manager even bought us a torch as the Restaurant was so dark, which we thus leant to the waiter, who also could not read the menu.
Most of the staff were disinterested, especially when we didn't take up the offer of Campari or Martini offered before we sat down.
I ordered a Muscle and clam soup, which was not fresh, as made evident by the leathery and tan handbags contained within. The sauce was described by my friend Mandy, who also enjoyed this soup as 'tasting like wet dog'. This joy cost €15, and was followed by a Tomato and Pasta arrangement at a cost of €19, and was best described as GCSE, year 1, and was presented on a massive plate, which was only half full!
Simon enjoyed a €15 salad, rocket and shaved Parmasan only, with a 1/2 cooked (read raw) large Prawn.

“The only good thing about it was the decor”
Reviewed December 29, 2010

Louzy service, when you ask for a 'spanish' drink people say that they don't serve it because they 'are' italian. You are not allowed to take pictures, food is way to expensive for what you get. For that price you can eat somewhere else 2 evenings. Plates served cold. Etc etc.

“If you've had enough tapas, this is excellent Italian!”
Reviewed October 29, 2010

We had a delicious dinner and excellent service at this wonderful restaurant. Quirky in its cave-theme interior, we knew we were in good stead when our Italian waitress said the eggplant Parmesan reminded her of her grandmother's kitchen. Nice wine list, reasonable prices and great food. It was a nice break from all the tapas we'd been eating.
