“If you want a cheap base give this a try...”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

We were a stag party looking for cheap, clean rooms near Benidorm. This fits the bill perfectly but if you're looking for luxury and class I would suggest that you try Thomson Gold and pay the price. The reception isn't actually in the building and isn't manned 24/7 which could be a problem. We had one access key between 4 of us but we stuck together so it wasn't an issue. One of the other parties didn't didn't follow this rule so one of them paid the price with a broken ankle when he climbed over the security gate. The prostitutes didn't bother us but they could have been offputting to more sensitive souls. The pool was closed so we can't comment on the facility. The lobby was in darkness when the sun went down and that wa a problem. On the upside it was wall to wall sunshine all weekend and we had a great time especially in Benidorm Old Town. We would probably do it again but will stay somewhere closer.

Pool looked great but 100 euros deposit to get into pool enclosure and prison gaurd on gate, no sunbeds ,you were only allowed to take water in,no food or other drinks, the list of rules was endless.Rooms were ok but i would not want to stay any longer than a couple of days,no kettle and tv only played radio, the beach was ok about a 10 min walk down hill . Molly Malones on sea front great food but poor service,Will not go back .Plenty of other apartments to choose from.

Room Tip: If you have children ask for ground floor as we were given a room 15 floors up ,take your own kettle...

Weekend break with girlfriends so didn't really want to spend much time in the apartment so to be fair we did go with this because of the price.
Location is a bit out of the way - 15 min taxi to Benidorm which costs approx 10 euros or you cna walk down the hill to the little bay. Nothing really that near. The supermarket under the apartments was closed - looks to be pretty recently shut down although there is a small shop 5 mins away and the bigger supermarket about 15mins walk away.
We arrived at 9pm so ohave to pay 20 euros extra for arriving outside business hours (despite the fact that the recepption man was still in his office at 2am when we came home one night).
The room was nice and clean, towels were provided but they aren't great, air con is free but it's not strong enough for the August heat. No kettle or toaster so not really geared up for self catering. Biggest complaint was no hot water at all. Maybe we hadn't done something like switch on a bolier but we didn';t get any instructions. Had we bene staying longer than three nights we would have complained and maybe it would have been sorted out.
As explained in several other reviews we had to pay 100 euros deposit for the pool pass. The pool doesn't open until 11am and it closes between 3pm and 4pm - something we didn't realise and ended up being locked in the pool area. If we had known it was only going ot be for an hour we would have stayed where we were but instead had to wait for the guy to come and let us out (not a happy chappie). Also there are no sunbeds round the pool so after one day of lying on the very hard floor we decided to go to the beach - much better idea as you're also not allowed food or drinks round the pool and you can have a beer at the beach !!.
Unlike some of the other reviews we didn't get robbed nor did we see hookers hanging around.
Personnally I won't be going back again nor would I recommend it to anyone, but it didn't stop us from having a great weekend so it wasn't that bad.

just got back from these appartment. do not go i am warning you. i booked with sunmaster who told me their was the best in benidrom as i did check on here and wanted to change after the reviews. when we got there and we had to pay 100 euro to use the pool. and then the pool does not open till 11. o clock. we got in our room and the door knob looked like it was forced. these appartments are residential. not really for hoilday makers. no bar and no restaurant. no rooms get cleaned while you are there.i had to wash the bedsheets and that the last thing you want to do while you are on hol. there are prostitutes by the appartments. the tv you get is 18ins with no english channels at all. no english people at all there. lucky we had the money to go out alot. but if you are a family who have not got a lot of money. please change your accomadation.

just got back from staying at la cala .il start with good points then move on .room is nice and clean well equiped washing machine ,iron ,ironing board pots pans etc but no kettle rooms where spot on good size double two singles in the other room and double bed setee in diner /living room, kithen small but did the job. air con brill often had to turn it off . We was on the 20th floor but having four lifts never waited longer than a couple of mins .great views was the advantage.we stayed in t block 3 wich was supposed to be the hotel but was really just the same as t blocks 1/2. the reception area has been closed and moved to a tiny biulding in the car park wich was used as a sales office before.so no reception this was only open 9.30 till 3 but spoke good english.next the pool great family pool nice and clean but you have to get an e magnetic card to gain entry this needs a 100 euro deposit (cash) that you get back at when you hand it back, leaving you with 100 euros on your last day ! we went on the beach on last day so handed it in day before. then the pool times 11am yes 11am till 3pm then it closes for an hour then 4 till 9.30pm. there is no sunbeds around the pool at all we resorted to buying airbeds /Lilos and putting our towels on them to lie on.but you where not allowed to take these in the pool or play games with bats or balls etc there is no bar at all on the complex and you can only take plastic bottled water around the pool no food either.we did not get any clean towels or sheets at all in our two weeks there and ended up washing them our selves no maid came at all in the two weeks to clean or leave tiolet rolls had to buy from supermarket.this comlex should be advertised as self catering appartment rental not a hotel. there are a few english on the complex but mainly spanish but we found these freindly enough.the location of the block is good for buses into benidorm (no 2 every 15 mins ) 1.40 euros set price ,last bus back 3am very handy and the no 3 bus to terra mittica 15 mins away.as we where self catering the bars around and on the sea front where very nice but on the quiet side molly malones had good food and bay view next door .for a more lively night you need to go to benidorm

Room Tip: higher the better

Stayed here in September 2011, on arrival they took our passports which you get back on departure not sure why they did this. Had to pay €50 deposit and they gave you the remotes for tv and air con which you get back once you return them. Rooms were surprisingly well equipped. Bit far if you're wanting somewhere near Benidorm centre as this is technically in Finestrat. Found the woman behind reception (blonde hair) very ignorant and rude but the gentleman was fine. No one informed us that there is actually a 'restaurant' in the place and only realised this on leaving. There are a few prostitutes that hang outside at night but us ourselves had no trouble with them or didn't see them in the apartments or reception. There is a market on a Thursday about a five minute walk away. Tip: Stay in La Cala Hotel which is ten min walk away and is right on the beach but be careful when booking as the two can be mixed up by travel agents.
