We visited here during our holiday in September 2010. The waitress was excellent in accommodating the pushchair in the small but perfectly formed area. We had a tea-light placed on our table to add to the atmosphere.
My partner ordered steak - cooked well done - and changed the potatoes for chips. I ordered the chicken breast with mushroom sauce and home-made noodles, only to be told there were no home-made noodles! I changed for rice instead.
The meals arrived, mine was lovely. I commented it was the best meal i had had during my holiday. However my partners arrived with potatoes instead of the chips he had asked for. The waitress apologised and brought the chips seperately. His steak however was cooked more medium / rare than well done, but he ate it with a glum face.
We finished our meals and intended on desert. There were us and one other table left in the restaurant. We sat for TWENTY minutes before our plates were cleared. The other waitress cleared three tables around us, washed up and brought bottles up to the bar area. Then came over and asked "finished?!" We asked for the bill, and didn't bother with deserts.
The terrible service let this restaurant down. This heightened our opinion over the under-cooked tseak, which would have been over-looked had the rest of the experience been faultless.
