Stayed at the Rinconada in August 2012. Not really apartments, more like small houses. The house was very nice, if a little bit dated, plenty of space for the 4 of us. Complex is just a 5 minute walk from all the bars and shops but far enough away to be peaceful. Needed to buy the aircon as it was so hot, only problem was that the aircon only worked downstairs so ended up using the pull out beds. Not all the houses had aircon so if you think you might want it then request a house with it. Great to have a small kitchen, fridge freezer, washing machine. Pool area quite small and not a lot for the kids to do. We booked direct and saved £200 so worth doing that. Santi who works there was very helpful. We took a ferry and then drove the rest of the way, parking can be a problem but there is a free car park behind the apartments. Small friendly bar outside, Beethovens, and then just up the road you have the Monsoon bar and grill. Over the road pop into the Mad Munk, staff really nice, food was excellent, as was the beer. Most importantly for the kidds, free Wi-Fi if you buy a drink. If you like chinese as you get to the top of the road turn left and head for the mandarin wok, last chinese on the right, look for the sign, well worth the walk! 9.95 for all you can eat or you can order from the menu, spot on!
Finally, if you have children under 11 and want to visit the waterparks or the theme park go to MacDonalds as they have free vouchers for children. You dont need to buy anything as they are all over the tables.

Lovely complex; apartment needed a little tlc but overall very good value for money. Very safe place to stay and although away from the main drag not very far for entertainment. Had to rent the airconditioning unit which was an added expense and despite wearing repellent got bitten by the mozzies.

Stayed at the Rinconada from 26 June - 4 July 2012. Very well equipped accomodation. Spacious for a family of 4. Rented accommodation privately through Maureen a lovely Scottish Lady who stays in the complex. Only downside is the lack of air conditioning. Benidorm was exceptionally warm and the lack of air conditioning really was an issue. Stayed at the accomodation previously in Novemeber and this is obviously not an issue at that time. Pool area kept spotless and security are always patrolling so very safe estate.Would recommend K&G Bar just down the road for the best welcome and good scottish hospitality.

Just arrived back, stayed in these apartments for a week..good value for money, nothing special about the apartments but very spacious inside with all the essentials. Pool area excellent for both young and old (never over crowded). Bar outside apartment gates called Beethoven..excellent little bar with Mark pulling the pints...he made us feel very welcome and always had a drink sitting for us + also he would come along with snacks for us or a jug of sangria now and again at no extra charge. Monsoon bar up the street a bit with a breakfast fry for 1.23e...or 2 evening meals for 10e, good value. Beach approx 5min walk up the top of the street and turn right.
All in all a good holiday had by all, will be going back.

Room Tip: we arrive on a sunday evening 9p.m. and did not have a clue as to were to get keys as gates were loc...

just arrived back on wednesday after a 9 day stay and have to say these houses are brilliant for families and couples if you want peace and quiet but be close to all the madness then this is for you. they are in a secure complex with security they have 2 bedrooms a small kitchen and decent size living space they come equiped with a w/machine iron and board there is no tv but who wants to watch tv on hols to much to do outside .the 3 pools and play park are brilliant and you have piece of mind with the added security.the furniture inside is your typical dated spanish stuff but it is all in good condition the sun beds in your little garden [which is a sun trap from 3pm] are from the 60s but are really comfie would like to give a special mention to the mad monk the staff are really friendly and always had my pint and the wifes milky coffee waitin for us lol

Room Tip: we stayed in house 138 and it was ideal

The apart at rinconada real, at least the one i stayed in were much better than expected, the apartments are in a totally secure private complex, with 3 private pools, in an area just a short walk from all the madness but with none of the noise. They have all the amenities for self catering, although I missed a tv, one can be hired. One complaint would be about the birds that seem to have a next right above the balcony, they can be noisy when u dont want them to be. All in all, I would highly recommend the apart for the sheer value for money alone.
