It was our first time in Benidorm, bit unsure but took chance as weather forcast was good for that week. We were wery happy with horel, staff at the reception not very helpful but restaurant staff and maids were very nice. Nice clean room, clean towels every day, TV a bit antic, not many channels. Food was very good with lots of choice as much as you can eat. Will be going back in October.

Room Tip: ask for room with the sea view

The Mont hotel is clean and in a good location about 100 yards from the beach, the food was good always hot and plenty of it, the desterts section had a limited choice but overall still value for money. Nice pool and patio area and a lovely sun terrace. Would stay there again as it is great valve for money.

Room Tip: All the rooms are the same, but as you are aware the hotel is as quite as the quests make it.

Really liked the location of the hotel and we had a lovely view of the beach and Old Town from our balcony. Up a slight hill but not too bad.

Lovely pool area and reception areas. The whole hotel is very clean.
Rooms are basic but similar to others in 3 star hotels and beds were really comfy. Really clean with towels changed daily.

We found the staff not overly friendly but always polite so that was fine.

The food was ok, better on some days than others. I also wasn't impressed with the rabbits legs but that's just personal choice tbh and there were other choices available. They also served chicken, pork, beef etc at other times. We ate out a couple of times but this is where the price we paid comes in to play. We only paid £6 per person per day more to stay here with full board than we would have in a basic 2 star apartment self catering as we got an excellent price through Holiday Nights. As the previous reviewer stated you did have to purchase your drinks with your lunch and dinner but that is common practice with most hotels as far as I'm aware and they were very reasonable, 1 Euro 50 for a pint of lager , 4 Euros for a bottle of wine, 2 Euros 20 for a large bottle of water.

Overall we would return if the price was right and we really enjoyed our stay.

Alison :)

Arrived at this Hotel late evening on 6th April. Was dropped off across road from Burger king at bottom of street where this Hotel is. There is a sharp incline going up to this Hotel but should be very managable for most people who have no mobility difficulties.
Outside entrance of Hotel looks very smart which i believe has just recently been renovated. Reception area clean and bright unfortunately thats where the good point ends. Male receptionist was not very welcoming and basically threw key onto reception desk and said the room number and vaguely pointed to where the lift was.
We were allocated room 506 which was directly across from lift area which did concern me for noise but have to say, it was no problem at all. Room very basic with minimum storage facilities. There was a double wardrobe with lots of hangers and 4 small drawers. Also metal safety deposit box which was screwed to floor of wardrobe.
There was 2 single beds with small shelf cabinet seperating them and on other wall, very small dressing table area which also accomodated the TV. Could find no English speaking channels on TV. Room was decorated with bright orange walls and matching orange furniture. Looked dated but was spotless.
Bathroom was compact but had full size bath with overhead shower which was excellent with great water pressure and always lots of hot water available.
Dining Room was on lower floor from reception area. No queues waiting to use dining room at meal times. Lunch time was always fairly quiet the days we used it. ( were booked on F/B basis ). Food was plentifull with 2-3 meat options in the evening, lots of various salads and choice of potatoes or chips.
Drinks could be purchased from dining staff and have to recommend the inhouse red wine at 5 euro a bottle. They will put a room label on bottle for you to retreave at other meal times.
Overall thought the Hotel offered very good value for money for what I paid.
Did speak to some single ladies who had single rooms and they were not happy at all with their rooms. Referred to them as more like a cell, with very small bathrooms and no view from window as such. Also people were commenting on rooms on level 4 as being very poor in quality and decor, so not sure if all the other rooms have recently been refurbished, but mine on level 5 seemed dated but of better quality.
Location of this Hotel is excellent for the beach ( 5 min walk tops ) and also for local bus service.
I would recommend this Hotel if you get it at a good price and prefer to mingle more with the Spanish/Italian/Dutch visitors to Benidorm and like peaceful quiet nights in the evening.

Room Tip: Ask for pool facing rooms as these get most of the sun and if lucky, you will get a partial sea view...

I have just returned from a weeks stay from 1st to 7th April, the hotel is up a bit of a hill but not to bad. The room was cleaned every day and clean towels but the towels were like flannels and the bath was rusty, the balcony doors didnt work and they required a deposit for the TV remote which was in spanish only apart from BBC news. No facilities for a drink in your room so take a kettle and after about 11 nowhere could you even get a hot drink just a overpriced vending machine with warm coke or tango. I was led to believe that they are upgrading the rooms but had obviously not got to the forth floor. Now to the food, it was awful, powdered orange juice dried up sugar puffs and hot dog sausages at breakfast and the coffee was disgusting. We changed to tea but the water didnt change colour. We paid for half board but ate there only twice as the food was not even average I would say it was more a one star. One night was rabbit legs, another black pudding, pretty much anything that was cheap. Cold rice pudding every day or fruit for dessert. They do not serve any drinks at dinner either so be prepared to BUY water or coffee in the bar at 1.30 a pop it could add up to a lot on top of the half board. Staff were very unhelpful, when we asked what time our transfer was the guy on reception just shrugged his shoulders and said no fax, no fax. So in essence if you are used to staying in youth hostels go for it but if you are looking for a hotel dont bother.

Room Tip: dont bother

We had another good stay in the Mont Park, 5th time we have stayed here. A good clean hotel, and very good value. Rooms clean and enough room for three beds, maid service every day, towels changed daily. clean modern bathroom with hair dryer and plenty of hot water. the food was ok, always plenty to eat, and salads, sweets etc. staff fine, bar prices cheap. lovely sun trap around pool area. sun most of the day. In a good location, 3 mins from the beach.

Room Tip: rooms with pool view get the sun most of the day.
