This was our third visit to the hotel. It has been more than five years since we last visited Benidorm and this hotel. For us it is still one of the best situated, (just off the main street, the Avenue Mediterranean). The hotel was built about ten years ago. It is still fresh and clean looking. There are 20 floors. The high floors give lovely views of the beaches and town Now the hotel is very popular with Belgium visitors and Spanish people. A nice mix. (There is a Belgium cafe less than 5 minutes from the hotel. Selling lovely bread pudding and apple cake, very good value) There are some Brits. in the hotel, who like it so much they visit several times a year. There is some nightime entertainment in the hotel.

Spain is having even worse difficulties than us in UK. Problem is it seems to affect some of the staff's attitudes. We were booked in as if we were an inconvenience. The lady carried on a conversation with a man, our side of the counter, as if we were not there. A question we had about our room was brushed aside. I noticed this attitude in some other establishments.

The old town is about five minutes away and the new town 10 to 15 minutes. This suited us, not using the night time entertainment much, . In fact, for us, that is one of the problems about Benidorm for older people. Everything starts late. Though walking along the clean beautiful front is worth the price of the holiday in itself. Every day there are many hoilday makers walking up and down the striking front.of beach area. But Benidorm is such is such a night time place. Ten years ago along the front there were little cafes and bars with small orchestras for older people to enjoy during the day. There was even one bar that used to have a Frenchman playing the accordion. Now its mostly recorded music with a few exceptions. . I know many people go to Benidorm for the fantastic night time entertainments but not everyone in February wants to stay up all night.

There are some problems with some non Spanish squatters in the new town area. So take care. The local English papers gave alarming information about this

Will we go back again -definitely!

Room Tip: High floors give stunning views

Gym isn't included in the price and had to pay 3 Euro per day in a underequipped gym. The staff is friendly and helpfull. Beds are not very comfortable as they are a too hard (Whole family had some sleeping issues. Absolutely a tourist hotel not a business hotel. Unfortunately the rooftop restaurant was closed as it had a spectacular view over the Levante beach.

We popped over to Benidorm to celebrate a friends 50th birthday bash. We found this hotel on the Internet, booked 3 nights and Full Board, total cost was only £90 each. The hotel is in a great location in between the old and new town. The room was spacious and very clean, as was all the hotel. The food was excellent varied at every meal, so you will always find something for everyones taste. The bar on the 20th floor has fantastic views across the old town. Didn't use the indoor pool or gym facilities, so cannot comment on this. If I was ever to go back to Benidorm I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: Stay in room ending with 01 you get a view from your balcony.

Every time I see the TV program, "Benidorm", I tell my wife, somewhat tongue in cheek, that I want to go there. For my 65th birthday at the end of Jan', Jilly booked a surprise three days in Benidorm. What a great place. Spotless, no litter, and so friendly. While we were there it was full of locals on holiday, hardly any Brits. The seafront was beautiful, and food and drinks really reasonable.

The hotel was superb. Spotlessly clean - 2 queen size double beds in our room. Outside lift (great view), inside and outside swimming pools, spa, all staff very friendly and helpful and all spoke English. Food excellent, buffet style, loads of choice, well cooked, and beautifully presented, room service was at the almost before I put the ' phone down! Great location, and a minute walk to the beach. Free bottle of wine with dinner as it was my birthday - nice touch.

Pleasantly surprised by a town with a not so good reputation. Great hotel, great food, great people.

Stayed here again last week for 5 days. €40 a night for the room half board basis.

Again a spotlessly clean room on the 11th floor, se view balcony, twin large beds, dresser, Satellite TV, Hairdryer, bathroom with Bath Shower & amenities. All spotlessly clean & well maintained. Good heating & aircon system too & welcome as the weather was great.

Heated Indoor Pool as well as outdoor pool & terrace, gymnasium & sauna also.

Large spacious restaurant with some great food & lots of seafood too. Very Very large prawns, fresh & smoked Salmon, Hake, too many choices. Breakfast great, with eggs to die for & an excellent continental choice also if you don't fancy the cooked option. There was plenty to eat, also for my wife who is a vegetarian.

I cannot complain about this hotel other than the lack of tea coffee making facilities in the room. Still, a €3 boiling element bought from the chinese shops nearby solved this problem with plant tea bags and coffee from the dining room.

Staff are very pleasant, as are all the housemaids. You really cannot go wrong at the Madeira Centro. Worth a visit upstairs to at the very top rooftop terrace. The best view in Benidorm.

Room Tip: All rooms are seaward facing & very quiet.

What can I say, this is my 11th trip to Benidorm and I can say that this is the best hotel that I have stayed in. I can't fault it. I am going back in February and I shall be staying at this hotel. I had a room on the 16th floor with a sea view it was very clean, the staff are so friendly. Great location inbetween the old and the new town.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor as you get a great view.
