Just back last week. On arrival, checked in and in room 5mins later.
First visit to this hotel, and liked it from start.

Meals were very good, something for everybody I thought, but if you could not see anything for you, ask head waiter for something else and the chef will try and make it for you.

Room was fine, we had number 111 facing pool. We emailed hotel before going and asked for room on 1st floor facing pool, and that's what we got.

Pool at this time of year got no sun at all, and the sunbeds and chairs got very little. We went up on sunroof on day 4, and stayed there for 2 hours. It closed at 1.00 pm, but after somebody spoke to the hotel manager, he agreed to open it till 7.00pm. If you like lying at pool sunbathing then don't go at this time of year.

A/I drinks were very good, and you got a pint glass jug inside and a half pint plastic cup outside. The shorts measures were large or larger. All the bar staff were brilliant.

The entertainment wasn't that good. Organist for 2 nights, organist/singer for 2 nights, karaoke 1 night, but on Mon night before we left there was a great duo act doing acrobatics/comedy.

Met some lovely people as it is not a large hotel, and you get to know nearly everybody.

Overall, we had a great holiday and the service from ALL staff was very good. Although only a 2** hotel, I have stayed in worse 3*** and 4**** hotels.

Room Tip: Email hotel before going and ask for poolside room.

We stayed at the Vista Oro for one week with five children. The rooms were lovely and clean, and we had a balcony overlooking the pool and the busy street scene opposite, which gave us a real feel of Benidorm. The food was fantastic with a large variety, ranging from British roast chicken to Spanish seafood paella and there was always something to eat for everyone. We spent a lot of time in the Solarium and jaccuzzi which were perfectly positioned under the sun and even dared to go in the swimming pool a few times, even though it was freezing. But the staff really made the stay special. They included everyone and Jason's activities of rifle shooting, archery and killer pool helped everyone to make friends. They were extremely family orientated and very funny. The higlight of the stay had to be the 'Choo Choo Wah' dance with everyone taking part. Overall the stay was great fun for all and we hope to return soon!

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front overlooking the swimnming pool, otherwise you will have the view of a wall.

I have just returned from the hotel on Friday, when we arrived we were on the 5th floor even though one of the party is disabled. The staff moved us to 2nd where we looked at a peach wall. The room was disappointing when we arrived, this was the room booking agency when we booked our holiday. The food was overall good, something for everyone. It's a shame the pool was always in the shade and the roof top was packed with Spanish, the hotel had a lot of Spanish guests the week we were there. The staff was lovely, very friendly. We will not return to benidorm again as a family as we saw it all while we were there. Overall a good hotel for an older couple, not for families with young children. Jason did his best to involved the children.
