“Basic but Clean, Good Value for Money”
Reviewed March 3, 2009

The apartments were better than I expected after reading some of the reviews.Yes they were basic, you didn't have maid service, and you had to take out your own rubbish. Those are the only bad points, personaly I don't concider them to be bad, first : you are on a selfcatering holiday and the prise reflects that the rooms are basic ,second : the bin is out side the apartment gate you pass it every day, third : how many times do you change your bed at home in a week. Now for the good, the ladys who own the apartment were very freindly and helpfull, the rooms had everything you need, close to the beach and some good pubs and places to eat. We tried a few of the bars and cafes, found the Yorkshire Pride to be about the best for food, good english meals at good prises ( 3 course for 7euro, or just a snack burger chips and a pint 3.50 euro )

We have stayed in Benidorm before in the Levante area and these were in the best location so far. Very near the beach and shops but far away to be quiet when needed! The rooms were basic but comfortable, very clean. Only downside was no air conditioning but we hired fans from the reception and they did a good job for us and our two young children. Hotel bar food was lovely, did everything you needed and was very reasonably priced. You never had to fight for a sun bed which was a refreshing change from other hotels/apartments. Would definetly stay here again!!!! Benidorm is really lively, plenty to do for everyone and don;t miss the old town by night..
Top tip: Yorkshire Pride is by far the best for food!

my boyfriend and i stayed in the picasso apartments for a week we were a bit worried after reading the reviews. But we need not have worried cos it wasnt as bad as stated and the hill wasnt as steep as i thought.
The apartments gave value for money i did have a few things that did not work in apartment but when i reported them they were replaced because i went in the winter the apartment was cold but after a few days we were given a heater the staff were friendly and i had no problems.
The only thing missing from the holiday was the weather it was frozen i would definately never go back in the winter months. We chose the wrong time to go as the festival had just finished and a lot of benidorm was closing down for the winter.
p.s the tv is pay as you go (slot machine)

Stayed here for Christmas and wished we had booked for New Year too but had to come home (family party).... never mind, there's always next summer.

Staff were brilliant and the sisters who run the place are fantastic once you get to know them;. The kids were spoiled beyond belief! The atmosphere here is fantastic, all the other guests said they were having a great time.

The Christmas Eve party went so well, we all forgot to go to bed until 2 in the morning. Rick (the chef/barman) did a big quiz and a fun bingo with music afterwards and my oldest decided that he was going in the pool with the mask, snorkel and flippers he won at bingo; so at 11-50pm (with the sisters blessing) in he went !

Overall, we arrived as guests but left reluctantly as good friends.

Don't expect 5 star because you will not get it, be reasonable in your expectations for 2 star and they will be more than met, we love the place and will be going back during the summer.

Arriving:
Got the bus from the airport to bendiorm for 8 euro to playa levante then got a cab up to the apartmnets which dropped us off right outside for 5 euro.
Upon arrivla we was asked for a 100 euro or £80 deposit, receptionist didnt speak much english.

Apartments:
They were very clean upon arrival but must state that ur not given maid service in the whole week. the onli problem is the beds which was very cranky and horrible to sleep in.
It was very spacious with a reli big balcony.

Location:
Your up a hill but it is ok. the beach is just at the bottom of the hill which is just 2 mins away. your ight near all the bars and resturants. and got straight down the bottom of the hill and straight down the road to the market which is reli big and good. there is a chippy which is also a resturant which does a 3 course meal for 9 euro.

overall:
It was ok for the money we paid (£118 for a week for 4 ppl.
would go back aswell.

I stayed at the picasso apartments in October 07. There was 6 of us as it was my birthday. Me and my friend shared a room and the other 4 had a seperate room. When we first arrived at the picasso apartments i thought oh my we are living at faulty towers as the sign for the apartments were hanging off and it just looked really grubby. Anyway we got to the reception and the women on the front desk couldnt speak very good English. She took 100 euro for the deposit and gave us this sheet of paper, we had to go to our rooms and count everything and i mean everything including cutlery. We had 48 hours to count everything sign it then hand it back to the women. Me and my friend were on the 5th floor and my other friends on the 2nd floor. Think we got mixed up with the rooms as we had extra cupboard space. The rooms were very clean and tidy. Big enough room with living and dinning area, kitchen which had a kettle, hob, micro, frige n freezer.Bathroom ok size with bath and shower.Big huge balcony as well. We had clean towels everyday and sheets changed twice. Our friends on the 2nd floor had no maid service at all. The bar staff were very friendly and good cooks as well. The bar/cafe was cheap enough to eat from and they had happy hour for drinks no that we stayed here very long as we liked the square. The hotel was up a slight hill it was about a 15 min walk to the square and 5 min walk to the beach. The picasso apartments are just up from mcdonalds and burger king. I would def go back here again it's well more than a 2 star. Booked up for Nov 08 and cant wait but not these apartments we are staying at Las Torres just hope these ones are ok.
