“Not that good”
Reviewed October 7, 2005

We were really looking foward to staying here after reading all the good reports but we were rather disappointed:It was rather unfriendly and we found that it was long way from the sea.Had to hire pushcahairs for the kids.Room a bit on the tatty side.

My husband and i have just come back from 2 weeks in the Flamingo.
We had a gret time hardly left the hotel as there is no need to, everything you need is there.

The food was excellent such variety, heard a few people saying it was cold but we were in spain and thats how it is, there were micros if you wanted to warm it up. Again comments like the bacon not like at home YOU ARE NOT AT HOME!!!

The lifts seemed to be an issue with some people, If people did not keep pressing the buttons all the time and looked at the direction of the arrows they would not be waiting or in alift for 10 minutes.

We will be visiting the Flamingo again as we could not fault it.

Nothing was a problem for staff. FOOD IT IS FANTASTIC********rooms large modern and very clean. The rooftop pool is an excellent child free zone perfect to chill out.Outdoor pool inside waterfalls all very decorative and pretty. This hotel should suit all ages for an excellent holiday we were two forty something couples from Ayr would suit families and couples more than single teenagers.Enjoy

I have just returned from the Flamingo Oasis after spending 10 great days there. I had read loads of reviews about the hotel so was rather excited as they were all positive, now I can give you my view on the hotel. I have divided it into sections.

Hotel

Hotel is about 40 minutes from the Airport. 10 - 15 minutes walk from beach/shops. As soon as you go into the hotel you will see how clean it is, the reception area is very large. The first bar as you walk in is fairly large and you can sit inside or go outside to sit on the balcony that faces the pool and stage area. The hotel inside has fountain areas and greenary - it is very nice and creates a relaxing atmosphere. You have the piano bar and sitting area with two widescreen tvs in the lounge to watch. There are also several lifts on this floor, I am afraid what everyone says is true about the lifts, I was on the 16th floor and sometimes it stopped at every floor on the way down.
There is a bar downstairs next to the cinema area which plays films at 7.30pm every night for adults, then a kids film about 10pm at night, whyle the show for adults is on outside on the stage.
There is a bar and pool on top floor (25) for adults only.

Rooms

Very secure you get a card with your photo on it and just swipe it down to get into your room. The saftey deposit box is also good as it is electronic and you put your own pin number in. Large rooms, get cleaned every day, nice bathrooms with his and her sinks!

Entertainment

The entertainment staff really do try there best, me and my partner got on well with them as we played Archery, Riffle shooting and pistol shooting every morning which is on at 11am and got to know the staff better. During the day they hold one of the above, then have games for the kids during the day. There is bingo and flami games throughout the day. I am afraid all you can win is a t-shirt, a cuddly toy bag or a clock!!
At night they have music on for the kids who never seem to go off the stage. Most parents look after there kids great, but they were a fair few who just runned wild and kept jumping up on stage even whyle the entertainers were performing on stage! Kids would run up and down the cinema when we were tring to watch a film and they would shout and scream and even try to pull down the cinema screen!!! My partner even had to pull up some of the kids for vandalising lights and jumping on the seats screaming, with no parents in sight!!
Apart from that the entertainment is great, shows like Grease, Starlight Express, tributes to Michael Jackson, Queen etc were on. They get a few singers in, but they all sing the same songs. The entertainment team dont really sing that much they just shove a cd on and dance to it and mime the words, you will see what I mean when you see it for yourself. They try to get everyone involved though and try there best - there full of energy and thats great!
Kids shows were even better than the adults sometimes, with magicians etc that were actually really good! Also a few computers for the Internet, and a massive games room with pool tables, ice hockey, games etc. Crazy Golf outside. They also have a Miss/Mr Flamingo Oasis Competition which I entered for a laugh, the winner wins a free holiday for a week in the hotel - worth entering for that I think!

Food

Excellent choice - starters such as cheese/bread, salad, soup, biscuits, etc.
Mian meals such as roast beef, potatoes, fish, chips, pasta, spaghetti bolagnaise, lasagne, pork etc.
Desserts - loads of cakes, pasteries, ice cream, jelly and angel delight stuff, fresh fruit, custard etc.
Kids meals - chicken nuggets, smillie faces, fish fingers, pizza, beans, chips etc.
Breakfast - full fry up - the works, toast, cereal, fruit, cheese/baguettes.

Plenty of choice they change some meals daily, but most days there is the same, had an oriental night, tropical night and gala night whyle I was there.

Drinks - Plenty choice, pepsi, sprite, orange juice, sprite, your usual local vodka, wine (you can get a full bottle) etc, cocktails and kiddies cocktails and milkshakes. You can also get bottled water.

Overall great hotel, ideal for families with small children, I would go back in the future. You will have a great time with loads to do and great choice when I was there I met loads of people who went back year after year. Benidorm is also good, loads of shops and entertainment to keep all happy. Nice ebach and good weather.

Hope you have a good time if you go here, I am sure you will.

Family holiday to Hotel Flamingo Oasis was just brilliant. The hotel facilities are first class. The bedroom / bathroom etc were spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The restaurant was excellent. The hotel is ideal for couples, families, young or old. The only downside were the lifts. These were very slow in taking you from floor to floor. Don't let the lifts put you off as hotel is one of the best you will visit. Definately go back in the future.

first time in the flamingo but wont be the last. The staff were great very helpfull i was in a party of 4 adults and 5 kids and we always got a table together at meal times. First time all inclusive, food the best ive had on any holiday the beer san miguel not very strong never stoped most night and didnt get drunk, wisky very strong my mate had a bad night on that. vodka like water i had a pint of it neet on top of 6/7 pints of lager and still didnt get pissed. entertainment not to my taste but most people loved it. theres a team of about 8/9 and you can tell that there all products of stage school vgood dancers.the only problems we had was with the lifts and sunbeds, to get a sunbed people started to queue from 7:30am the gaurd didnt blow his wistle untill 8:30am then it was a mad free for all it was like a benny hill sketch...the lifts are mad kids send them to the 25th floor with no one in iwas on the 11th floor and walked it a couple of times and got to my room before my wife how took the lift with a pram. would also recomend the water park we went in a group of around 25 and had a fantastic day dont let the spanish jump the queues they have no manners and try to push past on all the slides.
