This was a late booking that we made 7 hours before the flight! We stayed 19th-26th March 2013. First impressions check in went smoothly, offered a drink whilst waiting. Hotel was a popular choice (4 coaches was arriving) the reception area was spotless! Our room was comfortable with a big balcony and the bathroom was a good size. Only disappointment was that there wasn't a fridge so that we could put our water in. Restaurant service was good and efficient however myself and my partner are adventurous with foods and we would of liked to see more Spanish foods rather than English. Pool area was clean, thou with the time of year the pool was freezing, we didn't manage to use the indoor pool but it looked fine. The beach was a 10-15 walk away and we liked the walk to it helped us burn some of the food off!! Bar staff were all polite and the cocktails were my favourite! Thomson reps were fab and very informative. Finally, the entertainment team! WOW!! We have never been to a hotel with dedicated staff! They really impressed us with their enthusiasm and we really enjoyed it. We are even considering bringing my mum here as she would love the shows! Overall a good holiday with the weather on our side!

We stayed at the same time last year and decided to return for our Silver Wedding. I emailed the hotel in advance and we received a free bottle of wine just after we arrived. As last year the hotel was spotlessly clean well looked after and the staff brilliant. The entertainment team were very good for a hotel team. They tried to get as many of the guests involved as possible without being to pushy. Diego was fond of putting my wife and I down for anything in the theater. A Mr and Mrs type contest, taking part in the Dirty Dancing show as extras. There were quizzes with t-shirts as prizes all free to enter every afternoon and evening. During the the day darts, air rifle, table tennis and killer pool competitions were organised as well as "Flami" games. eg catching a football in a bucket held on the top of your head. One night a comedian was on as the entertainment and as they thought the content might not be suitable for children opened a film show for them while the adults watched the show. In lots of places this would not have happened and a large part of the audience would have left. The food was very good with a carvery option at lunch and dinner. Each night was themed eg the movies with the food reflecting this. The whole menu was very good with the dishes being replenished promptly. Even though the weather was not the best you were never stuck with nothing to do. i would return again. You might want to check out You tube for the summer season sun bed races. Its under Flamingo Oasis Sunbed Olympics. This only happens in the warmer months not March when we were there.

We visited here in march this year for 2 weeks the booking in on a Tuesday as already stated is a fairly 1 hour long process however drinks were available whilst waiting and a good chat to others in the queue started the holiday off fine .
First ..
The only problem we had on holiday was with a guest when she went to the pudding area and proceeded to taste the puddings with her OWN spoon when told by myself that she had contaminated the food you’ve made your point she said and continued to sample the puddings with a cheeky grin on her face I’m almost 60 and this Lady ???? Was older than me and should have known better than to do this as she could of infected ( with any infection she knew she had or didn’t know she had ) the rest of the guests having puddings that day, to his and the hotels credit when I informed the head waiter what had happened he immediately closed down that area removed all food and replaced it with a fresh selection so well done.
I hope the so called lady reads this and reflects as she could have caused an outbreak of whatever and the hotel would have been blamed for poor hygiene etc etc .

Back to the good points
We had a very nice stay the room was a very nice room kept to a high standard by Pilar our housekeeper the food was good, plenty of choice the times when I chose something I decided did not like it was easy to go and get another choice the restaurant staff and Bar staff although working very hard always had a smile and a your welcome when thanked.
The entertainment team were fantastic one of the best teams we have come across very hard working and professional the entertainers coming in were iffy to good.
San Miguel and strongbow cider on draught good , Spanish sprits not to good but drinkable.
The piano bar quieter but nicer coffee room for a dance

Other points
Wi-Fi the hotels wi-fi is free to upgraded guests however not a very good strength ..other guests 1e for 15min at internet station … Good TIP.. If you have your own device nip over to the Corner bar across the road from hotel good cuppa tea ,fresh coffee and FREE wi-fi and horse racing and football . A hotel of this standard SHOULD have wi-fi at a good strength free to all guests we’ve been to poorer hotels that have this as standard .
Personally I think the hotel has made a mistake by introducing superior club guest areas as it should available to all guests maybe making areas adults only would be better ie roof top terrace only available to club guest when it used to be all guests it brings in a them and us attitude which could cause a few problems when it get busier during the summer.

The weather was variable the only thing we didn’t get was the snow they were getting back home …

Thompson reps good although they do need a microphone when doing meetings been told to come down the front if your hard of hearing is not the answer

Would I come here again yes if doing all-inclusive or bringing out grandchildren as kids seemed to be well looked after .

Room Tip: any room over looking pool for sun , to the rear for views of mountains

Just come back from a 4 day stay at the flamingo Oasis. I have to say the room was clean and nice we stayed in a suite room which we paid a lot more for. This meant we had use of the private bar on the 24th floor and the roof sun terrace. We were shouted at by the staff for taking a drink to our rooms so we could sit on our balcony and relax before dinner we had to sit in the bar instead, even though the people who had standard rooms were allowed to take their drinks anywhere within the hotel!!!!!! The staff were very rude except a young man who was on reception and he had very good customer service shame the rest hadn't. The pool was closed and not enough sun beds we asked why they said that the weather had been bad and were put away, it was 23 degrees all the time we were there. We didn't use the roof sun terrace as most of the people up there were very unfriendly and every time we went up we were pounced on not by staff but the holiday makers making sure we had the right to be there!!!! When we went to the restaurant we asked to have a table for 10 as we were in a group we were told we couldn't so we had to all sit separately but when we looked around there were tables of 8,10 and more. Seemed like we were being picked on the whole time we were there which spoilt our trip. This was a special trip as I was celebrating my 50th so it's not as if we were being loud and rowdy!!!!!! Will I go to this hotel again? The answer no neither will my friends, some of them are actually holiday advisor too so they won't be recommending it to their customers either.

Thank you for your review of your recent stay with us at the Hotel Flamingo Oasis.
We are extremely sorry to hear that you were disappointed with various aspects of your stay with us, and that this has impacted on your overall enjoyment of your holiday.
At the Flamingo Oasis we aim to ensure that our guests receive the very best service and we are sorry that some of the restrictions in place to ensure that guests who book the club room service receive this to the highest possible level, led to some disappointment for your group. We do try to provide the very best standards and the majority of our guests rate our standards and service very highly.
We really are vey sorry to hear that the Flamingo Oasis was not the most suitable hotel for your requirements and that we won't be able to welcome you back to stay with us in the future, but in spite of this we hope that you enjoyed your 50th birthday in Benidorm.

My OH and myself stopped at the Benidorm Flamingo Oasis from 16th to 23rd of March 2013. I would rate it as one of the better 4 stars we have stopped at. We got this as a late deal, like a day before and it was worth every penny !
Alright it had it's little flaws but nothing that would ruin your holiday, from the moment you arrive to the time it comes around to be leaving you are treated curteously by a very friendly staff.
The rooms are more than adequate, ours had a double bed and a single plus two couches and an ample balcony, with the stunning views of the mountains to greet us every morning on opening the curtains. A flat screen tv (remote is 12€ (returnable) from reception). Safe is 23€ for a week (6€ refundable).
The food was a good variety with occasional themed nights.
The entertainments team are really good, they try their best to keep everyone busy during the day and put on some really good shows in the evening plus there are some live acts too, there is also a Piano Bar upstairs that is adult only with live music.
There is a nice bar area where you can sit and have a chat ( they served non-alcoholic beer and you could have wine by the bottle) or relax in the comfier chairs and settee's in the huge reception area, if you want to watch the tv you will find two big screens with plenty of seating.
At the time we went it is mainly elderly clientele but Benidorm itself can make up for that, although towards the end of our week families were beginning to come to the hotel. We talked to some people who had been 20 times to this hotel and I could see why, we would certainly return again.
Now what I like to know when I read a review, especially for a winter holiday . . . the weather, the first two days were cloudy and very windy but the rest of the week was in the early 20's C, still some cloudy and a chill wind but mostly good enough to have a good read laying in the sun and to return home with a tan.
If you like to go to a show, the Benidorm Palace is a 5 min walk away (29€ or at the time from Thomsons 25€)
