Hotel Flamingo Oasis
Ranked #52 of 192 Hotels in Benidorm
Reviewed January 9, 2013

just returned from the flamingo oasis yesterday 8th of jan 2013. we stayed from new years day for 1 week. we stayed on floor 13 and av got to say never found any bother with lifts, there are about 6 lifts in total and they came quickly. the hotel is very large in fact the biggest we,ve stayed in. the views from our room were very good we could see the sea and also the pool ,apparently we had the best side because we got the sun, and got to say we actually did all day . the hotel is very strict on all inclusive cards only 2 drinks per adult and 1 per child. we stayed with our 19 year old daughter and 11 year old son. transfers only took about 45 mins which the brochure stated about 1hr 30 mins. security was on the door all the time which did make me think why.... until an eldery lady said people had been sneeking people in for free meals, i,m not sure if this was true but they where there day and night. while we where there it was the spanish xmas " navidad" we went to see the fiesta in old town it was fantastic wish we did them in england. this was our 1st time in benidorm and to be honest it,s a bit off a concrete jungle, saying that we did have a good time.the shops are endless and the market very very cheap i bought boots and other things for little money and love them.i,ve heard before that benidorm is the spanish blackpool and can relate to that. the hotel did av a good selection ov food somethings a lil strange.... eggs and onions in gravy..... but there was always something for every1, but they did have every dinner time a delightful rice pudding, home made just like ya mam make,s lovely.the hotel had indoor pool, mini golf, entertainment team which did shows 5 nights while we where there they where canny enough.i think benidorm is a place you either love it ..or hate it .... or just not sure about it ...would i go back maybe, but not every year for the rest of my life. saying that i do like to go different places all the time. whilst we where there we went to benidorm palace which i thought was class the lazer man was amazeing, as was the danceing, worth the money in my eyes. my husband did think it was a bit girly, there was no fighting or sword fights lol. the buses are very good you can go anywhere in benidorm for 1.45 euro,s even the next villages/ towns ..albir..altea etc etc ....the weather was a very nice 19 to 22 everyday lovely . in your room you had sky t.v with all the english channels and more, not that you in there long. the reps where fab . but hey don,t listen to me find out for yourself .

Room Tip: ther was,nt no a/c when we stayed in jan

This was our first visit to the Flamingo Oasis and I must say that overall we enjoyed it, many of the guest we spoke to returned time and time again, and I can understand why. The hotel is geared to the British holiday makers and I would guess that ninety plus percent of the guest were British,it is not the type of hotel to go to if you are interested in learning about Spanish culture etc,it is basically Britain in the sun. We stayed in the Club rooms and though they are more expensive they do give you somewhere to go to and relax if down stairs gets a bit hectic, I would recommend Club rooms if you like it quiet, standard rooms if you like it a bit lively, we had relatives from Valencia staying in the hotel over Christmas and as they had a child with them they were not allowed in the Club section, so whilst they were there in the evenings we stayed with them downstairs, so we saw both sides of the hotel, the lively and the quiet. The only problems I found was that the air con was turned off and the first two nights we were there it was stifling after that the weather cooled a bit and we were okay, also on New Year the restaurant was hectic as all the guest in the hotel had to have their meals at set sittings instead of drifting in and out over a couple of hours as on normal days, but saying that I don't think there is any other way it could be arranged. I found the food very good for A.I and the entertainment not bad though most nights we went out to sample what other entertainment Benidorm had to offer, if your of a certain age and into rocknroll try the Rock n Roll House opposite the hotel it's fun and a good laugh. I suppose the acid test of any hotel is "would I stay there again" and my answer is yes.

My wife and I have just returned from an 8 night visit to the Flamingo Oasis for the New Year.
We stayed in a "club room" this time and had asked for and were allocated a room looking onto the mountains which made our visit.
The staff were "as usual" , courteous, friendly and very helpful without being at any time intrusive at all and it's really good to revisit a hotel and not only meet up with staff from previous visits but also to be remembered by them.
The New Years eve gala dinner was "out of this world", I would find it difficult to describe and do justice to, due to the wide choice and quality of the dishes that were available.
The wine supplied both on the table and the Cava served by the staff were also of excellent quality but again, I have never had an issue with the quality of the wine provided.
We did hear some criticism of the food from other guests later in the week and to be honest, on that particular day, the criticism was justified but overall, the quality and choice of food remains good.
Would we return to the Flamingo Oasis? A big YES to that one, we most definitely will return at some point as we like both Benidorm and the Flamingo Oasis but at the moment have other things planned for this year.

Room Tip: Rooms are more a matter of choice here, we wanted a "mountain view" room as we live by the...

Fantastic hotel with fantastic facilities. Do not be put off by the bad reviews!! We stayed over Christmas and new year and we could not fault a single thing! The entertainment was great with a variety of shows, activities and games to suit all individuals. The staff were friendly, helpful and always had a smile on their faces. The rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean. The food was incredible offering a large selection of meals to suit ALL dietary requirements. Take no notice of the earlier comment of the food being described as 'dia' as the people who wrote that are either writing about a different hotel or used to eating microwave meals! You will always find a couple of individuals who will find something to moan about! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the hotel and will definitely return again.

Just returned from our umpteenth visit to the Flamingo Oasis (28/12/12 to 4/1/13) Stayed in a Club Room again - can't fault anything about this hotel. The staff are very friendly and always smiling - they can't do enough for their guests. This hotel is immaculately clean, the food is delicious and varied - something to suit everyone. We met so many people we had met previously on our many visits. Some had tried other hotels in various resorts but were all of the same opinion - they can't help comparing hotels and the Flamingo Oasis always comes out on top - it really is a perfect hotel.

Stayed here previously in 2010 and we were a bit disappointed this time, the hotel seems to have gone down a bit hence only 3 stars would have given 4 if the food was better.
On checkin we were lucky I had the wife jump off as soon as the coach stopped & she managed to get 2nd in the queue whilst I got the bags, the whole coach full got off at the hotel . We checked in quick, had photos and cards went to room and unpacked went back down to the bar and some people were still in the queue to check in.On one occasion the second week they were queueing from reception into the bar area, 3 coaches came in quick succession. They know this is going to happen so why no extra staff on duty.
We stayed on the 9th floor and had no real problems with the lifts but it could be a bit slow for breakfast.Room was OK but fittings were going down hill the unit top was held on with 2" angle iron rough on the cut end & looked a mess. Bathroom door frame rotting away seems to be made of MDF or other rubbish. No lock on the patio door part of mecanism missing.
Breakfast not too bad except for the streaky/fat bacon. Quality of lunch and dinner have definately gone down hill. We had lamb chops you coulds use for a hammer, steak you could use on your shoes and on one occasion pink chicken. Only saw boiled potatoes once, chips every meal. Cannot understand why they do not show cook the meat they would have less wastage.Lager in the restaurant always seemed tangy.
Selection of drinks OK . San Miguel and Strongbow in bar, spirits seem weak except for the whisky but that tastes awful (Spanish) .Quality of the wine has also gone down compared to our last stay.
Entertainment team are a good laugh and do some tidy shows.Professionals we thought were not as good as last time.
Cleaners do a fair job, towels changed every day, sheets twice a week , there was a bit of dust round by the end of the second week. All public areas, toilets etc kept clean in spite of some guests doing their best to make a mess.
Bar and restaurant staff are good some better than others.
Reception very helpful.

Would I stay there again? Yes but only if the price was right though.
