“One of the nicer looking apartments in Benidorm”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2014

We stayed here in October 2013 and was well aware of the so called hill. In fact, it really wasn't that bad and quite welcome to get some exercise in! We have never stayed in Benidorm before so cannot compare them to other apartments but from what we saw of other hotels, the Terralta looked nicer than some of the high rises. Nice large pool and always plenty of sun loungers available. Bar prices very reasonable and with happy hour each day - even better! Staff were lovely and helpful and the we ate lunch once at the poolside bar which again was reasonably priced and pretty standard food such as toasties and sandwiches - with chips of course! The apartments are away from the new town, probably about a 30 minute walk so probably not the best location for party animals. We stayed mainly around the old town anyway, which is only a 10 - 15 minute walk, and has a great selection of restaurants. We only went to the new town once and taxi back cost about 6 euros which wasn't so bad. For the price we paid, this was an absolute gem and the apartments themselves were very clean, spacious and well equipped. We also had a corner apartment which was nice for both a poolside and mountain view.

Room Tip: Poolside / mountain views are in the corner apartments

I stayed at the Terralta Apartments in July 2013 with a group of 5 other males. We are all in 30's or 40's and enjoy a long weekend away once a year. The apartments are spacious and clean. we were two persons in an apartment but it easily would sleep four adults. We would rise around 11am but always got a sun lounger. The pool area is clean and tdiy. The bar prices are very reasonable and the food was good quality during the day but we didnt eat in the restuarant so I cant comment on the food.

The hotel is a little gem for the price, yes its on a hill and not suitable if you have mobility problems. lots of people hired the scooters!!

We spent most of our time at the Irish Bar on the sea front on an evening or at the rock bar on the sea front.

The Terralta is spot on for a weekend away or a budget holiday, it does what it says on the tin.

I stayed at Terralta Apartments for 7 days in October 2013 with my wife, 2 kids and had a 1 bedroom apartment. On arriving we checked in at reception without delay, the man at the desk was very welcoming and we were given an apartment on the 1st floor overlooking the indoor pool towards the rear of the grounds, which although not a fantastic view it was quiet.

The apartment itself was very spacious and clean; the kitchenette had all the necessary equipment, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and hob, there was also a wall mounted LCD TV but never really used it. The rooms were cleaned and the towels changed every 2 days and the bedding changed once during our stay, there was Air conditioning in both bedroom and main living area.

The pool area was a good sized with plenty sun loungers for that time of year so we never really had any problem getting one during the day, however, some of them do not allow you to sit up and can be rather uncomfortable after several hours, however, you can rent foam pads from the main reception for 1€ a day or 5€ for a week which we did, there are also large fixed sun parasols around the pool area.

Just a few negative points, there is no free wifi at the apartments, although you can purchase credits at 20€ for 168 hours and it can picked up around the pool and in the apartments as with having two teenage kids this kept them both happy when they had had enough of the sun as in their teenage world, there life has ended without it!!.

The gym is ok and has a cross trainer, stepper and bike as well as some weights but there is also a fee to use this too at 3€ per day of 7€ for three days.
The pool bar sells a good selection of food all day but the kitchen closes mid afternoon until 5pm, which I found strange, there is a small shop onsite but it has very limited selection of food stuffs but it does sell fresh bread every morning. The nearest decent sized supermarkets is at the bottom of the hill about a 5-10 minute walking so take a back pack!!.

Overall, this was a good apartment block as not high rise, the only down side is its location up a slight hill and away from the main resort.

Me and my girlfriend stayed the first week in September 2013. We arrived at the hotel to be greeted politely by a friendly gentleman on the reception desk. The hotel seemed clean and fairly modern, as did our room. The downside to this hotel is the distance from both the old town and the new town, it's miles away. I'm 24 and I found the 50 minute walk to the new town up and down the very steep hill, in the heat, exhausting. We were paying 10 euros there and 10 euros back from the new town every night via taxi. The hotel would be great for families as there is entertainment for the kids every night but if you want to be close to things, do not stay here
