“Value for money Hotel”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

We stayed at this hotel with friends on a full board basis during early April and have no complaints.
It's a clean well run hotel with good staff. The Dining room service is excellent and the two head waiters are very efficient and helpful.
For the price that we paid the food was good with plenty of choice particularly at lunch time.
Between 5pm and 7pm there is an happy hour in the bar. Michael the English barman was quick to advise us on offers and how to take meals at other hotels in the hotel chain. We didn't take up the opportunity however.
All in all if you are looking for 5* luxury then it wouldn't be for you. If you want a clean efficient hotel with decent rooms and facilities I would recommend it.

Room Tip: Like most Benidorm Hotels the higher you go the quieter it is. Weekends are noisy wherever you stay...

Wasn't sure what we were going to get when I booked this hotel. It was a late decision to escape the English weather for a long weekend of Spanish sunshine. We were on a budget, and managed to get the Benidorm centre hotel for just 60 pounds each, for 3 nights half board. At that price, it would have to be really bad to complain. As it happens we had very little to moan about.
We booked a return private transfer for the 4 of us from Alicante airport, at a cost of 120E, with costablancatransfers.com and the service was spot on. Arriving at our hotel just after dark, it has quite a grand frontage, with easy access from the street. Checking in was done within 5 minutes, and we were soon given our 2 - yes 'two' - keys to our very spacious room. Having 2 keys is always handy when you're away, just in case one of you needs to return to the room before the other. Our double room contained 2 single beds (not unusual) that were pushed together. These were the larger, 3 quarter type beds, that were great for spreading out on, but I found them a little on the hard side. The room also contained plenty of storage space, and a good amount of hangers in the wardrobe. there was a safe in the wardrobe also, but this was at an extra cost. The TV had 3 or 4 English channels I think...we didn't use it much. The bathroom was functional, if a little dated, but did contain a hairdryer, and a selection of toiletries. Towels were changed each day.
A balcony ran along the length of the room with a table and a couple of chairs. This overlooked the street, but we never had any problems with road noise from our 4th floor position.
The breakfast was OK. Choice of hot stuff - well, it wasn't exactly hot, but warm, was fried/boiled eggs, 2 types of sausage, bacon, beans, hash browns, fried bread, tomatoes and mushrooms. There was plenty of bread and a toaster. Also a selection of cereals, fruit, and juices. Not forgetting a coffee/tea machine.
The evening meals we had were OK. Not a fantastic variety, but enough to suit most people except the very fussy eaters I think.
There is a happy hour (2 for 1) at the bar from 5pm-7pm. Prices at the bar were reasonable. the pool area is quite small, and I would imagine it gets very crowded in the summer months. there did appear to be plenty of sunbeds though.
As I have said in my title of this review, the best feature of this hotel is its position. Just 2 blocks from the sea front which is reached in an 8-10 minute stroll. The Clubs and main bars of the new town are a 10-15 minute walk on the right as you leave the hotel, and the old town is the same distance to left. Ideal!
People have said that the hotel is a little dated, and i would agree. but it is a functional, friendly and clean little hotel that I would have no problems in recommending to family/friends, and I would happily visit again.

we had a weekend in benidorm.we were dropped off by the shuttle bus outside a hotel across the road due to the hotel being on a junction.from our first glimpse we were impressed.we had missed dinner but food had been left in our room.we were upgraded to full board as well.don't know why, didn't ask.big room with large balcony over the reception.beds were hard but thats the way we have it at home so,no issues there.there was a mini fridge in the room with drinks in cans for 1 euro 60.bath/shower was hot and all toiletrys and towels plentiful.the room was cleaned every day.
food, breakfast was everything you can think of including champagne for free!boiled eggs, hash browns etc.lunch and evening meal were top notch.best night was roast chicken
tv in the room had the main uk channels and a remote.
this hotel is in the same group as the bali gran and shows it.
great hotel.

Room Tip: we were over the reception on the first floor.the disco was not open but would probably be noisy if...

Well situated hotel. 5 mins from beach and Old Town. Good variety of bars near by. Tiki City good at tea time, live music at 17.30 everyday.
Hotel very clean. Rooms good. Food, though not the widest choice, was excellent. Very well presented and prepared. We were full board and had a good meal every sitting.
Pool area has the sun most of the day.
The only downside was the room we were allocated was above the disco which went on till 6am and could be heard very clearly. We managed to change rooms to the 9th floor so no more problem.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

stayed here recently and found the facilities didnot seem to be 4 star quality. the meals were fine but once again no english tea. seemed to be more catering for the germans and the spainish. the entertainment was nothing special so we went out. it just seemed quite a let down that the pillows and mattress were very hard and uncomfortable as-well. the staff were ok but again nothing special and the pool area was very small. won't go back !!

Room Tip: ask for a lower floor as lifts are quite slow. take your own teabags for the restaurant. no kettle...
