“Excellent Hotel”

Arrived at this hotel on Saturday 25th July and was given a pool view on the eighth floor. We must have had one of the refurbished rooms, because everything was modern, laminate flooring etc. THe rooms were cleaned everyday and we had no problems with towels etc. Food was excellent, but as previously stated some days only one or two choices for meat etc. Only pitfall was the "charge of the light brigade!" for beds in the mornings. You would be very lucky to get any beds with umbrellas, perhaps the hotel could invest in some more of these, as temperatures were hitting 39-40 degrees most days. It was extremely hot. All in all a very good hotel and would recommend to others.

After reading the reviews I was maybe expecting too much from this hotel. With others saying plenty of sun loungers which there wasn't, maybe because its a very busy time of year.

The room was nice which was facing jokers, the noise levels were not too bad once the balcony door is shut and the air con is on, rooms were cleaned pretty much every day, the maid didn't leave enough toilet paper or shower gel, ran out twice.

The food was lovely and hot but also confusing as they have pasta and rice but not sometimes not anything to accompany them (didn't fancy stew with pasta), for desert was even more confusing as one night they had custard on with no pudding then the next night a pudding but with no custard. The staff were a little slow to take away your plates from the tables at busy times and there is a really sour faced member of staff who you buy your drinks from in the dining room.

The reception staff are very helpful, when i had a problem with the room and engineer was there within a couple of hours to fix it.

You could be waiting a while for a lift especially at meal times and at check in, we had to drag our suitcases up 4 flights of stairs as the lift never came.

I would recommend this hotel in less busy periods as I felt there were not enough staff on for the amount of customers in this hotel.

Arrived at the hotel and was given key for room straight away no complications. We had only paid for a Street veiw room which we were slighty concerned about because of the noise of the bars at night but we were updated free to a pool view room! Which was really nice. The rooms are basic but nice, the balcony in each room is large. The maids cleaned room everyday we were there and done a brilliant job, if you were in the room when they came they would just return later on when you were out which was great! The food was perfect with a great choice that would suit everyone as there was always plenty choice. The pool area is very clean and has plenty sunbeds, however I would suggest that if you planned sunbathing by the pool that day, you take your towels down and lay them on your sunbeds at about 9- 10 o'clock to ensure you get one because everyone rushes out to get them as soon as the doors open about 9!! The staff at reception are very helpful, friendly and most speak perfect english. We locked ourselves out of the room and had to go to reception to see if we could get in and they gave us anouther key no problem, also my boyfriend dropped his swimming shorts of the balcony and the staff tried very hard to get them for us. The hotel bars (pool bar and gallery bar) are reasonably priced. The entertainment was ok, the live singer was a bit rubbish lol but the bingo is good, the bingo caller Junio is a good laugh. Was extremely sad to leave and will definately return!!

I can only back up what has been said on many previous reviews. The location of this hotel is superb, right beside all the cabaret bars and 5 minutes from the beach.

As has been said before the rooms in the hotel are getting a bit dated and could do with refurbishment, but they were spotlessly clean, and quite comfortable. It’s worth paying the extra for a pool view, as we did, and you don’t get bothered by noise from the late revellers.

The food in the restaurant was excellent with plenty choice, and the breakfasts in particular were superb. It’s not often you get real butchers sausages for breakfast in the Med but you do here!

The Restaurant and Bar staff were all very efficient and friendly, especially the two waitresses in the bar, they were lovely and always served with a smile. Oh and there is a happy hour from 12:00 till 20:00 every day when you can get a pint for 2€ or two local spirits (usual Spanish measures!), with mixers from the tap for 3.60€.

There are two different levels for sunbathing one by the pool and one overlooking it, and there is never any shortage of sun loungers. The inside bar is well air conditioned if you need to get out of the sun for a while, and there is a lovely shaded terrace off the bar overlooking the street, great for people watchers!

The UK Cabaret bar in the basement is very good with great acts on every night.

So all in all an excellent hotel which I hope to go back to soon. My only slight concern in this review is that the rooms would benefit from refurbishment, but they are fine it’s not a major point. To be honest if they do get refurbished this hotel would probably go up to 4 star and we’d have to pay a lot more. So, on reflection, leave them alone!

just got back from this hotel, and will never go there again. hotel was imformed that i would be arriving early (11am), was told that would be fine. i then waited 4 hours for my room. as i sat and waited in the reception there was about 70-80 people arrived and were given rooms straight away. i am not spanish, so i could wait.i had paid for a pool veiw and was told that there were none left and i got a very small room over looking the night club next door.(the joker). the one with STICKY VICKY on every night at 10.30. the place did not close till 8 am.the room was very dirty, i wrote in the dust behind the door. there is a ledge on top of the wardrobe, i run my finger along that and i don't think that had ever been cleaned. i must say the food was very good and the pool area was very clean. receptionist (with glasses) is rude and a waste of space. good luck to anyone who is going there. oh i forgot to mention, i check out hotels all the time for a company.

Been to Benidorn several times, with the kids when they were younger and the last two times just my husband and I. The Presidente was a lovely hotel, the staff were all very friendly and the rooms and public area were spotless. We found the food very good and lots of variation, if you want burgers and nuggets , and pizza every day then you,ll be disappointed, Plenty of fresh fish including salmon, prawns trout
etc.. lots of spanish style food too.The deserts are to die for, ice cream on tap, lots of fresh cream and chocolate desserts.
Plenty of sunbeds available, not adjustable headrest tho so pretty uncomfortable.
Night club downstairs has really good entertainment, very nicely furnished, drinks prices on par with most caberet bars in Benidorn.
We are hoping to return same time next year.
