Stayed full board (will now be on diet for the next 11 month!!!) for 8 days during May 2013 and we were both very happy with everything from room to food to entertainment.
We arrived at 1pm and as our room wasn't ready (we knew this was a possibility as check in is about a 2.30pm as stated on the hotel web site) we left baggage in secure room and went straight into the dining room for lunch. The food was really good, at each sitting there were several choices of hot main dishes be it fish, meat, rice & plenty of veg/potatoes/salad & desserts - all self serve. Only gripe would be the bottled water at 1.50 euro per small bottle it is rather expensive but we bought a bottle the first day and just filled it up each time (just need to be discreet when taking it into and out off dining room though). Wine is available but sorry no idea on cost or what it's like as we don't drink it.
Our room was on the 5th floor and overlooked the pool area which was fine as it was nice and quiet on a night but you do not get any privacy on your balcony - visually or vocally as everyone overlooks each other!. Our twin room thought was spacious, very clean & comfortable & had plenty of storage space. There was a TV in the room, a hairdryer (fixed for use in the bathroom only and is ok and does the job if not a little awkward to use - sure you will know what I mean if you use it) and a shower over the bath, Room service was each day and included change of towels.
You can hire an iron from reception for 10 euro which is refunded in full on return (they do not have a lot so don't leave it to the last min if you need 1)
The staff all seemed very polite and friendly, happy to help and always said hello and asked if all ok if they weren't busy of course.
Pool area is nice and clean as is the pool itself. We used the sun terrace at the far end of the pool area as this was not as busy as the main area right next to the pool. You have to be quick though if you want the adjustable chairs and a sun brolly as people will get out there first thing (doors open around 9am) & leave their towels on the beds and chairs then not go back to them for hours. I do not like doing this myself but it is a case of 'if you can't beat 'em then join 'em ' so we went out at 9 got chairs sorted, went for breakfast and were back out for 10. By the way they have plenty of sun loungers if you prefer them.
Entertainment starts in the main bar of the hotel which was always busy but we did not stay in as it was always full and never a spare table, then later there is the club below the hotel with various artist each night. Drinks are expensive in here compared to local bars but then again they only sell branded spirits.
Lifts can be a problem at busy times as there are only 3 and they have to cover either 9 or 10 floors but if you can avoid rust hours (i.e. start of meal times) they aren't too bad.
Location is good, only a short walk to the beach, 10 mins' if that (out of hotel and turn left) and no shortage of bars/shops. And even though the hotel is surrounded by bars/shops we had no problem sleeping BUT then again our room was on the pool side so maybe best to ask for room with pool view ?
