Stayed full board (will now be on diet for the next 11 month!!!) for 8 days during May 2013 and we were both very happy with everything from room to food to entertainment.

We arrived at 1pm and as our room wasn't ready (we knew this was a possibility as check in is about a 2.30pm as stated on the hotel web site) we left baggage in secure room and went straight into the dining room for lunch. The food was really good, at each sitting there were several choices of hot main dishes be it fish, meat, rice & plenty of veg/potatoes/salad & desserts - all self serve. Only gripe would be the bottled water at 1.50 euro per small bottle it is rather expensive but we bought a bottle the first day and just filled it up each time (just need to be discreet when taking it into and out off dining room though). Wine is available but sorry no idea on cost or what it's like as we don't drink it.

Our room was on the 5th floor and overlooked the pool area which was fine as it was nice and quiet on a night but you do not get any privacy on your balcony - visually or vocally as everyone overlooks each other!. Our twin room thought was spacious, very clean & comfortable & had plenty of storage space. There was a TV in the room, a hairdryer (fixed for use in the bathroom only and is ok and does the job if not a little awkward to use - sure you will know what I mean if you use it) and a shower over the bath, Room service was each day and included change of towels.
You can hire an iron from reception for 10 euro which is refunded in full on return (they do not have a lot so don't leave it to the last min if you need 1)

The staff all seemed very polite and friendly, happy to help and always said hello and asked if all ok if they weren't busy of course.

Pool area is nice and clean as is the pool itself. We used the sun terrace at the far end of the pool area as this was not as busy as the main area right next to the pool. You have to be quick though if you want the adjustable chairs and a sun brolly as people will get out there first thing (doors open around 9am) & leave their towels on the beds and chairs then not go back to them for hours. I do not like doing this myself but it is a case of 'if you can't beat 'em then join 'em ' so we went out at 9 got chairs sorted, went for breakfast and were back out for 10. By the way they have plenty of sun loungers if you prefer them.

Entertainment starts in the main bar of the hotel which was always busy but we did not stay in as it was always full and never a spare table, then later there is the club below the hotel with various artist each night. Drinks are expensive in here compared to local bars but then again they only sell branded spirits.

Lifts can be a problem at busy times as there are only 3 and they have to cover either 9 or 10 floors but if you can avoid rust hours (i.e. start of meal times) they aren't too bad.

Location is good, only a short walk to the beach, 10 mins' if that (out of hotel and turn left) and no shortage of bars/shops. And even though the hotel is surrounded by bars/shops we had no problem sleeping BUT then again our room was on the pool side so maybe best to ask for room with pool view ?

Room Tip: Rooms with pool view are best ones to avoid noise but not very private on balcony's as you all o...

Stayed for week in the Easter holidays. Pool was covered in this period which was a good thing as when the weather wasn't great kids could go in pool without the fear of them catching a cold. Food was fantastic everyday best food I have every had in a hotel setting. Nice central place close to everything. Would choose this holiday if I was returning to Benidorm.

Having stayed at the Presidente on numerous previous occassions and loved it we decided to return for another visit. What a dissapointment we had this time. The hotel is perfectly placed in the middle of all the new town nightlife, all the staff are as friendly hardworking and trustworthy as normal. Two vast improvements have taken place. Room TV,s now have BBC1, BBC NEWS, ITV 1, SKY NEWS AND SKY SPORTS 1, as standard. But the best was the new poolside reclining/padded sunchairs, Very comfy and better than normal pool loungers. Unfortunately their is only about a couple of dozen so you have to be quick. On a positive note though the pool area does not open till 0845 so no creeping down in the middle of the night. For teckies their is also FREE WI FI in the hotel lounge area. Staying at the Presidente your room card also gets you 25% discount at The UK Cabaret Club underneath hotel, Surprise Attack Bar next door (litre excellant sangria for 6 euro), Morgans Tavern Night Club, and the Western Saloon. All good so far but now the downside. The food!!!! Breakfast is fine no problems, but the evening meals were either good some nights or bordering on bad. The good nights seemed to have two or 3 decent choices all on one night, and the bad nothing decent, but to be honest you could scrape a meal from salad bar and soup, but not the food we are used to from this hotel. One night they had a chef carving delicious fresh pork. If anyone from the Presidente reads this please put the chef on every night with a different fresh meat, it would make all the difference.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a pool view. Dont ask for a high room, on the 3rd or 4th floor you can walk down w...

Stayed at the Hotel Presidente 14-21 May 2013.Straight away we felt right at home. We were not given a pool side room so we paid the supplement for one but had to wait a little while before it became available, so left our suitcases in the luggage room and went for lunch, by that time our room was ready. As always, there is an excellent choice of food and wide selection of puddings including their lovely ice cream, and the dining room staff very friendly, one dinner time we found the dining room very warm, don't think the air con was on because the weather was a bit mixed that week, but I used my spanish fan and the dining room manager saw me and asked if we were hot and then went and put the air con on, very considerate and wonderful service. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh clean towels. We had a really lovely relaxing week staying here, it was a shame that the Thomas Cook transfer back to Alicante was stressful, our flight was at 11.10 and the pick up was for 08.15, the coach was late and had to take the toll road to make up time, we were one of the last to book in, and the lady at the check in was in no rush, she went on the phone and mentioned our names, we were told Alicante was a ticketless airport and only needed to hand in our passports, but we also gave here our e-ticket, then she said that there were 2 flights to our airport and she didn''t know which one we were on, by the time we went through security, the boarding gate was flashing, at one point we thought we were not going to make our flight. However, we are looking forward to returning to the Presidente later this year.

Just back yesterday having spent 8 days at the Presidente.Cant believe some of the reviews on here. The food is excellent,I really cant stress this enough, and I have not yet stayed in a hotel (and I have stayed in many)where the staff have been so friendly. The dining room staff were amazingly helpful especially to the older guests.Did not use the pool area or stayed in for the entertainment.Rooms were cleaned daily.Did not like Benidorm itself but this is one fantastic hotel, cant recommend it enough. Not full of Stags and Hens which was another plus.Lifts can be a little slow, and the showers could be updated, but otherwise excellent.

I have been to Benidorm a few times now . Decided to try this hotel on a friends recommendation . Our room was of a side street so never got any sunshine on it . There was no fridge in the room , so nowhere to keep water, minerals ect cold .The pressure in the shower was very bad and went hot and cold while showering .
On the plus side the room was cleaned daily and the hotel was spotless . Food was ok. But this hotel was just not for me .
