Stayed here for a week from 21st May 2014. It turned out to be an excellent choice! I definitely would say it was more like 3* not 2. Very central for everything. Extremely close to the night life, our room was street side, (where the taxis rank up of a night for Cafe B), so it was a bit noisy, but after a few vodkas it wasn't that noticeable! Breakfast was great, no complaints, tried a bar snack on the first day and then swerved that for the rest of the week, say no more! But I did get the impression it depended on who cooked the food... Staff all great, the smiley man on the bar got a bit annoying by the 4th day. Who can be that happy all the time? And why not just speak properly instead of singing EVERY word? Pool was great, sun all day. After reading reviews on here I was expecting the pool to go in the shade halfway through sunbathing but it didn't. Those people must have got this hotel mixed up with another one? Clean rooms and they were of ample size. Maids visited every day and they were honest too! Hotel wifi was a bit naff to say the least but we're not there to spend our time on the internet.

So all in all a great place to stay and would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you want quiet of an evening then ask for a room overlooking the pool.

This hotel is excellent value for money. Stayed Fri 08 Aug - Mon 11 Aug. rooms are basic but clean. Maid service each day. The three to a room is a bit tight so stick to doubles if you're going with a group of mates. The pool area is decent although certain area are in the shade meaning you miss out on the sun. The bevvy prices are cheap as you would expect. €1.50 for Heineken. Overall ideal place to stay for stag / hen but not really one for families.

Stayed here last week, would deffo go again, very clean with friendly staff and the best bar man ever!!! A little noisey at night if yr room is on the front but for a few extra penny's u can have a pool view away from the noise of the bars, 5min from the beach, 15min from the old town which is lovely and has more of a Spanish feel than the new town, hotel is situated right in the center of all the action, so much to do and see and very cheap to eat out every day. breakfast, well u couldn't ask for better. Worth every penny!!! Should be more than a 2 star!!!

Stayed at the perla hotel on the 16 the July found it nice and clean and not too noisey .pool was nice and quite not a lot of noisey kids around . there were some stag parties there but they had fun but were not making a nuisance of themselves . breakfast was good buffet style and always something to eat .my only complaints were that the reception staff were not very pleasant and the barman on the upstairs bar was very rude .I asked him for bar mats one night as the condensation from the glasses was dripping onto our clothes he just said no. I then asked him nicley if he would wipe the table instead and he went off on a rant about how he had to work everyday until November to keep his wife and beautiful daughter this went on for quite a few minutes .needles to say we never drank here again .I think he was called Carlos. All the other staff were lovely.benidorm is lovely and yes it can be a bit vulgar but it is good fun and plenty to do.we went as a group of 50 year old and we enjoyed it very much. Would go back to benidorm and to the perla
