“Our Family Holiday :)”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

Whether you are staying for a few days or longer, this hotel is a great place to stay and situated far enough away from the nightlife not to hear it (if you want a peaceful holiday) but close enough if you want to have a night out. It is situated conveniently between the new and old town and only 5 minutes walk to the beach.

Staff are very friendly, welcoming, helpful and very hard working. The age range of guests varies greatly yet there is something for all, including the entertainment in the evening. The food is plentiful and the quality is very, very good which probably explains our expanding waistline. ;)
The hotel is spotless both inside and out. The sunbeds are very comfortable and the pool is very clean and cold!

The local transport is great and buses run frequently from the main road to other nearby towns; we took a trip to the shopping center on the outskirts (Carrefour Planet) which was a great way to spend a couple of hours too.

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Better view from the higher floors.

Cannot find one fault with this hotel. Staff are efficient and friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. Food is excellent with plenty of variety and also good choice for vegetarians. Entertainment was very good (best I've known abroad) and Raquel does a splendid job keeping everyone amused too daytime and evenings Very impressed with everything and will certainly book this hotel again....simply wonderful!

Room Tip: HIgher rooms give a better view if you can stand heights!

Hotel is lovely , very clean and spacious. The staff are friendly and very hard working. The rooms are well presented and very comfy beds. Sun beds by the pool are also v comfy, the food is great something for everyone - hot , fresh and plenty choice. We enjoyed a cooking and sangria demonstration - with tasting afterwards . It's in between the old and new town so a short walk to either and it's 5 mins from the beach.
We will definitely be back.

We spent a week at the Sandos Monaco over Easter this year, and would definitely book this hotel again. The location is great, 5 mins from the beach, and it’s situated in between the old and new parts of town. Turn left and you’re in Rincon/New Town in 10 mins, turn right and its 10 mins to the Old Town.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms are very comfortable and you can tell it’s had a recent refurbishment. The meals are fine; breakfast and lunch were pretty good, dinner was OK but some “interesting” combinations of dishes, but we ate out most evenings. We booked All Inclusive because we got an early booking deal, offering AI at the same price as B&B. We usually book AI even though we don’t use it for all meals, as we like to get out and about.

I think the bronze all inclusive is your ‘standard’ option, this was absolutely fine for us, the house wine was really nice and my husband was perfectly happy with the selection of lagers. There was no need for us to upgrade to silver all inclusive; if you wanted this option you had to have your “extras” in a glass lounge situated to the side of reception. Not really our sort of thing!

The pool area is in shade for most of the day, but there’s a fabulous sun terrace, that gets sun all day, so you’ll be fine if you want to catch some rays!

Really enjoyed our stay.

This is our 5th visit to this hotel and if I'm bring honest I wouldn't go back for longer than a 4 day break.

The rooms are starting to look a little tired, a refurb wouldn't go amiss.

The food for breakfast and lunch is ok, however dinner time it's a disgrace.
I'm not a fussy eater but I don't want crap and that's about the only way to describe the night time food.

We chose the select option again which has totally changed from before. If you want premium brand spirits you're stuck in the select lounge, aka the goldfish bowl. Pay extra to serve yourself and be stuck in a room with no air con, no music and no atmosphere. Ok during the day, however, night times a different story. At least downstairs in the entertainment area if there's a crowd being too loud or obnoxious you can move your seat, here you're stuck with them.

The majority of the staff have had personality transplants for the better.

I love the sun terrace here, very quiet and chilled out on most of the other times we've been here, on this occasion overrun with stag and hen parties. One particular bunch of Essex boys arrived on our last day and what a horrible bunch of rude reprobates.

Ok for long weekend but wouldn't recommend for any longer than that.

Just returned from sandos had a 11 night stay, was originally going for 7 nights but decided to go for longer after reading many reviews on trip advisor. However wished we had only gone for the 7 nights. Asked for low level floor because not too keen on using lifts one word of advice although room 107 on the first floor was clean and lovely I have never encountered so much noise at all hours!!!!. Food could have been a lot better, quite a good choice but mostly cold. Bar staff great and Raquel always had a smile on her face. Benidorm is what is says on the tin I would not personally return to this hotel and not sure I would return to Benidorm again.
