Please don't go here- it's bad. I know you always read reviews from those insipid people who say "nice, clean, you get what you pay for etc etc" but for exactly the same budget price you could stay somewhere sooooo much nicer than this.
The nightlife in Beni is around Levante beach or old town - there is absolutely nothing here. If you just want a beach and NOTHING more, go this area, but there wasn't even a cafe open without a 15 minute trek in October! And if the weather ain't good (as for us), it's downright depressing.
The place is full of really rowdy stags, bags of rubbish left in corridors for days plus litter, never saw a cleaner once. There is a ripped couch in reception, the lifts have never been cleaned, the place leaks in the rain - big puddle outside the lift (leaking into lift shaft) on tiled floor which no-one cleared up. The rooms are unbelievably shoddy. The pictures on the website are using a lot of poetic licence and make it look OK - I think they have staged one room for the shots.
The list of things that were broke would go on all night. The views are nice from the balcony but that is nothing to do with the hotel - choose any on line 1 or 2 for this. We were only there for 3 days but were starting to get really fed up of looking at the rusty balcony, fag butts in the 'plant' pots, cracked bidet, broken shower, no kettle, naff furniture, plastic mattresses, radiator in middle of room which had a pipe coming through a hole knocked in the wall, no curtains, window in bathroom looking out into corridor!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
The pool was nice, but too cold when we were there to sample sadly. Ended up with damaged feet from all the walking into old town (about 45 minute walk and we are fairly fit). Taxi between 10 and 15 euros a pop - not many buses either. Staff were friendly enough, despite having to deal with a lot of mouthy drunken men, some of whom were quite rude. Wouldn't have liked to have had kids around (although it doesn't seem to bother some people having kids listening to swearing and talking dirty obviously). Anyway, will book somewhere nice next time in Levante.

Room Tip: Go the Benikaktus - best place we've stayed.

This was my third stay at the El Faro. I was self catering, and therefore this hotel suited me very well. The apartment was spacious , very clean, had everything that I needed. The staff are very friendly and the room was cleaned very well half way during my stay. The location is quiet, there is
no entertainment. which is exactly what I wanted. The beach is about 100 yards away. Mercadona and local shops all closeby. There is a frequent bus running along the beach front to go into the main Benidorm areas. Will definitely stay there again

Room Tip: The higher up you are, the more sun later in the day on the balcony. Two lifts, both good

We came on friday 12th of october for the weekend, when we arrived the receptionist was very unhelpful we booked as a group and we were on different floors, there was rubbish outside the lift on the 3rd floor the whole time we were there. Nothing was cleaned in the appartment, no new towls or toilet roll. On the first night we lost out safe key which had all of our money and passports in, when we told the reception the next day they said they did not have a spare, after waiting in all day for them to open the safe 3 different people had to come out, we had no food or drink all day and they did not offer us anything until later on that night after the insurance company had been on the phone to tell them too. Eventually when the safe was opened 11 oclock that night we were then told we had to pay 300 euros as the safe was broken, we had paid a deposit of 5 euros for the safe to technacally that covered us when we told the scottish women behind the tesk she said that wouldnt even cover the cost of the key .. whos problem is that? not ours! .. Anyway after the insurance company speaking to the hotel we did not pay anything, lost a day of the holiday due to this, it was nnot in the center location like advised, the workers there are very unhelpful and it is dirty would never stay here again .. i would defenitly think twice before you book this hotel!

HELL.... To start with the hotel is VILE, rust everywhere, grasshopper crawling on your face, chewing gum stuck in places, nothing works at all, dirty and grubby, holes in furniture and we never had our towels (two towels for three people), sheets or room cleaned or changed once in four days! We had our safe key stolen (which we had paid a deposit for) on the first night so in the morning we went down and explained that all our money and passports were in there, the very unpleasant and unhelpful staff told us they couldnt open it till Wednesday even though we were leaving Monday! We went down again and this time they said they could get someone at 5 and said we should have left the key in our room (if your safe is in the room why would you leave the key?). The hotel had lost the spare key and the man who came to fix it hammered a key into the lock which then broke the lock so he could not open it at all, two more 'specialists' came the first drilled and hammered and still no luck it took from 12 till half 11 (we had no money at all for food or water) at night for them to open it too then charge us for a new safe and work done, our insurance company told us they were liable and we should not pay what so ever, which we didnt! This is a short version of what happened however all in all a horrible hotel with horrible staff which other groups we spoke to felt the same ! NEVER AGAIN

Room Tip: choose a different hotel
