“Brilliant girly weekend with lovely company”
Reviewed June 8, 2012

I went to Benidorm with a party of 8 girls for our friends 40th birthday weekend, upon arrival we was put into our rooms straight away with no problem the receptionist was really helpful she advised us where the square was and supermarkets she also called out taxis everynight for us (10 euros to the square) when we got to our rooms they were very basic but clean, they done the job as we only got ready in them and slept in them. Overall we had a great weekend the beach which is 2 minutes down the road was absolutely lovely and im fussy about beaches lol, the nightlife in the square was very busy the workers that try and get you into the bars can get on your nerves by the end of it but hey they are just doing their job!! There is a restaurant called the Grill House give it a try the food was lush. My friend wanted to go to Benidorm for her weekend and i can honestly say that im pleased that she made that decision as it was great fun.

Room Tip: The high the floor the better the view of the fantastic beach and sea.

Me my partner & my 3year old have just came home from staying here. On arival we gave our name & was told we wer on the 21st floor regaurds to me requesting a low floor because i had such a young child once i pointed this out he moved us to the 4th floor. Our room was lovely the balcony was nice & spacus with a lovely view. Once we were sorted we thought we would grab a bite to eat so we set out in search of a nice place but it was all spanish menu's & staff couldnt understand us. We found a lovely english bar if u follow the sea front called 7 palms the food was lovely & the owners were even better . The beach it litteraly at your door step . Our second day we went down to the pool & there was nobody anywere untill our worst nightmare a stag do came down they were a bunch of full grown men walking round in a thong with evrything falling out my daughter being 3started asking questions then they were throwning the rubbish & drinks & the language was horrendus in the pool the final straw for us was when they kicked a footbal at 30mph & it was cm from hitting my daughter in the face in the baby pool 10minutes later they done it again so i complaned & they stopped. The hotel was full of stags & hens thoughout the weekend & the familys that had bren there the previous weekend were wise to it so found themself elsewere to go. The hotel is in a very quiet part of benidorm the locals dont even class it as benidorm it so far out the only good thing about it is if your on a transfer you are 1st off. There is no entertainment at night its 10euro's in a taxi to the busy part but it all adds up if u go every night for a week there & back. Our towels & beds were changed once during our stay i swept & mopped our room every morning cause the floors turn your feet black but u get that in most places. The hotel is lovely the staff our friendly thr only thing is the location & the quests at weekends but its a low cost holiday you get what you pay for & if you want nightlife english bars u need to go further in. I hope this helps people it wasnt a bad holiday we enjoyed ourselfs but i wouldnt go back to the hotel based on location only

We were a group of 14 and we stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. To be honest I didn't know what to expect. It's a very basic accommodation but it's clean. We were on a higher floor and the views are beautiful morning and night. It's so close to the beach. There were nice places to eat nearby. The location is ideal as it's quiet. I found the surrounding area is clean. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Request for a room on a higher floor.

We returned yet again to El Faro for 6 days in late april...And again we where very happy..Requested and got the same room again ,I just love the veiw..
A few days before going i e,mailed El Faro direct with my room request and also stressing that i really would like a kettle this time..

On arrival we were greeted by the young spanish gent..Who is always so pleasant and accomadating(i really must find out his name.) and my requests had been noted and we were given the room i asked for....& a kettle.lol....But the cleaner was still in the room as we arrived about 11.15am & he said to come back at 1pm...So we got a beer and sat out in the sun on the terrace but within 45 minutes he came to tell me our room was ready..BRILL..
When i turned the key and entered the room it felt like i was coming home,Quickly unpacked and headed off to get the bus down to levante beach ,
on the 3rd morning the cleaner came to do our room which did,nt need it anyway but i asked for and was given fresh towels and toilet rolls etc without any bother at all..
On our final night we decided as our flight home the next day was a late one we would ask if we could keep the room and stay on until the transfer bus came for us at 6pm.......Sadly i was told it did,nt seem likely but i was to pop down that evening and speak to Maggie, which i did and she confirmed that no can do....so back up in the room we are getting our stuff organised for the morning when Maggie rang us to say she had just received a cancellation and with some juggling about she could let us stay on which was brilliant and well worth the additional charge.

The weather was good, hot and sunny all week but it did rain on the final afternoon ,It lashed down and made us realise keeping the room was a great idea.
All in all another great stay........and we.ll be back later in the year..

Room Tip: Higher is best..

I went here with my partner in early may for a cheap holiday. The hotel was fine a good size, clean literally a minute from the beach, but the location was crap for me. It may have been the time of year we went but we had to walk into the centre of the old town/benidorm to find a restuarant that was open! and that was a good 40 min - 60 min one way. If your the type of person to want to just sit on the beach and get a tan then this hotel would be ideal, but i like to walk around and look in little shops so it didnt do it for me. If you do stay ask for a room on a high floor we were on the 15th floor and the view was fantastic of the beach! I cant comment on the food as we didnt eat in the hotel or use the fitness room.

Stayed in El Faro for 4 nights and paid only £70 for a room that slept up to 4 people, this works out about £6 per Person per night.. What are people expecting?? We was on the 13th floor with an amazing sea view, our room was clean, but very basic. This suited our party just fine. The pool was very nice and was only in the shade for a few hours in the morning, the sun then stayed on the pool for the rest of the day. The hotel is a distance away from the old town, approximately a 25 minute walk and about a 50 minute walk to the square. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the el faro and would stay there again. For people who want a luxurious hotel, am afraid your gonna have to dig a little deeper !

After reading all the reviews I was quite cautious about these apartments and actually considered changing hotels but I'm very glad we didn't. On arrival we wer put on the 13th floors with amazing views, rooms were clean spacious and very adequate for the price we paid. Staff all very friendly. Yes it's in a quite location but if u want a relaxing holiday this is the place to spend it.

Room Tip: Request a high floor! Amazing views!
