“best holiday in a long time”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

we booked this holiday as a last minute break but after reading the reports we were dreading going. We don't know what people had to complain about we had a spacious refurbished room which was cleaned every day with clean towels, the food choice and presentation was great the breakfast was particularly good only hotel we have ever stayed in that served a good English as well as other continental choices. The staff were polite and really helpful. In the daytime and evening they had a great entertainment team Miriam,Glen and Harriet were brilliant with our little boy jack and made the evenings good fun its a shame Glen and Harriet are moving on to other things. The location is great just a short walk to the front where you can walk into the old town or if you prefer the bus stopped outside the hotel to take you to different places. We only stayed for a week and wished we had longer will be definitely go back.GREAT HOLIDAY GREAT COMPANY CANT WAIT TO GO BACK

Room Tip: low floor superior room pool view

A group of 10 ladies travelled to this hotel on St Patricks day for a 30th Birthday and another birthday, mine actually, unfortunately I wasn't the one who was 30 but I can wish. Unfortunately on checking in at reception they told us that they only had a booking for 7 of us but that was sorted quickly and we were given another room, we had 2 rooms of 3 and 1 room of 4 which all seemed adequate and quite modern if not a little tired, but nothing that a lick of paint wouldn't fettle. We were AI and found that the bar service was very good and didn't make you show all the room cards to get drinks, they were quite happy to serve all the drinks, all 10 of them with one room card which was really good as I have been to other AI hotels where they make you show your card per 2 drinks and it's a right pain when there is a large company of you. The bar staff were very pleasant and eager to help us and we were pretty noisy at times but they put up with it in good fun. The food was a bit hitty missy on general but plenty of choice and a lot of Spanish dishes as well as English dishes. The breakfast was very good, full English and choice of cereals, pasteries, cold meats etc. The lunch was so so but there was always a good choice of salads etc. The evening meal was okay, plenty of choices from roast dinner to pastry snacks and so on and the pudding were delicious loads of choice. Do I think it was a 4 star possibly yes by the facilities, had a nice Spa but we never used it as the weather was nice and hot when we were there and we sunbathed all day around the pool. It does get a bit nippy around 5 o'clock and the sun starts to go in, so a light jacket would be welcome later in the evenings. The hotel entertainment was okay but not a lot of it really but they did try and when we were there there was a singer on and a magician which seemed to go down okay with the residents, who were mainly older generation but a lot of fun. We loved every minute of our 5 day break and got a great deal and would definitely stop there again as we felt welcome and it was close to all the amenities. The only thing is if going at this time of year ask for an extra blanket as it can be very chilly during the night and you only get one pillow but just ask at reception and they will send housekeeping up with extra blankets and pillows, no problem at all.

We stayed at the Dynastic hotel from 9th - 16th March, overall it was a nice holiday. The bedroom was clean and modern. The bathroom had a strong sewage smell that wasn’t pleasant. The food was ok, there was plenty of it but not a large selection.

The main issue I had was that we had booked full board, however, the weather wasn’t great so we thought since we had our son (4 years old) with us we would use the indoor pool, however, this was not included in the price of our stay and we have to pay an additional 9 euro per person per day. It was absolutely disgusting, needless to say we only went the once.

We stayed at the Dynastic for 10 nights from 2nd to 12th March on a very cheap deal with Direct Holidays.

We are regulars to Benidorm and have stopped in many hotels but this was our first time at this hotel.

On arrival reception staff were very helpful and we were lucky enough to be given one of the superior rooms in the tall block overlooking pool with sunny balcony. These are large with 2 double beds, a large sofa & a very large bathroom. Housekeeping was excellent, extra pillows, blankets [as it was a bit chilly at night] towels changed every day & bed linen every 2 days.

Food was excellent with a good choice for all tastes .Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Bar staff were also great and no queues. Drinks were good with glasses inside, plastic outside. The only let down here was pool bar area too small and not very comfy, more like a cafeteria. The bar upstairs wasn't any better. Entertainment was mediocre, but the team of 3 were very pleasant & worked hard to keep everyone happy.

The indoor pool and Spa were excellent, but the biggest let down with this hotel is the outside pool area. This is very shabby & would benefit from some screening from the road & surrounding area.

In general this is a very clean, pleasant hotel & I would stay again in Winter, not in Summer purely because of pool area.

Another plus is not having to wear wristbands. A/I drinks being provided by showing room entry/electricity cards.

All in all excellent value holiday for what we paid.

Room Tip: Ask for room in tall block overlooking pool, sunny balcony.

Arrived at Hotel reception at 9.25pm, the friendly female receptionist immediately took us to the restaurant before it closed and told us to check in at reception after we had eaten. The restaurant closed at 9.30pm so this was a nice touch.
We booked into our rooms which were nice and clean. I only had one pillow so I folded it over in order to sleep that night. The next day when I came back to my room the maid had been and upon seeing my pillow had left me an extra pillow.
These are only two examples of the attention to detail the staff made to make our stay at the hotel more comfortable.
The restaurant had a vast variety of food at every meal time and the food was of a good standard.
The only negative was that on an evening the hotel bar was fairly boring and the lager was weak.
We visited Benidorm in late February, this was my first trip to Benidorm and I really enjoyed it. Shorts and t-shirt weather during the day, on with the jumper during the evening. It cost on average 2 euro's a pint of lager in Benidorm itself.
Immediately outside of the hotel entrance was the bus stop for local buses which came every 10 minutes. This allowed us to visit other parts of Benidorm and its surrounding towns (Altea is well worth a visit) The cost of the bus averaged one and half euro's a trip.
Royle Family actor Ricky Tomlinson (Jim Royle) was staying at the hotel at the same time as we were. If its good enough for Ricky Tomlinson then its good enough for me !!

Room Tip: We travelled as a party of twelve persons. Nobody had a bad word to say about their rooms.
