“Good Enough for Ricky Tomlinson...”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

Arrived at Hotel reception at 9.25pm, the friendly female receptionist immediately took us to the restaurant before it closed and told us to check in at reception after we had eaten. The restaurant closed at 9.30pm so this was a nice touch.
We booked into our rooms which were nice and clean. I only had one pillow so I folded it over in order to sleep that night. The next day when I came back to my room the maid had been and upon seeing my pillow had left me an extra pillow.
These are only two examples of the attention to detail the staff made to make our stay at the hotel more comfortable.
The restaurant had a vast variety of food at every meal time and the food was of a good standard.
The only negative was that on an evening the hotel bar was fairly boring and the lager was weak.
We visited Benidorm in late February, this was my first trip to Benidorm and I really enjoyed it. Shorts and t-shirt weather during the day, on with the jumper during the evening. It cost on average 2 euro's a pint of lager in Benidorm itself.
Immediately outside of the hotel entrance was the bus stop for local buses which came every 10 minutes. This allowed us to visit other parts of Benidorm and its surrounding towns (Altea is well worth a visit) The cost of the bus averaged one and half euro's a trip.
Royle Family actor Ricky Tomlinson (Jim Royle) was staying at the hotel at the same time as we were. If its good enough for Ricky Tomlinson then its good enough for me !!

Room Tip: We travelled as a party of twelve persons. Nobody had a bad word to say about their rooms.

myself & my son went to this hotel all inclusive over the new year holidays there was no problems with the hotel, nice large room very clean food was fine not a lot of choice for us as we are both fussy eaters but having said that there was plenty hot food also a well stocked salad bar. we had no problem getting served at the bar the only fault I had was it was catering mostly for Spanish family's the entertainment was geared up for kids but would use this hotel again.

Room Tip: try and get a room on the lower floors as the lifts are tiny major problem at busy times

This Hotel could not do enough for you .The Staff where wonderful especially Sue who was a star.Considering we where part of a large party (39) Sue was so helpful in sorting us out with rooms etc...The rooms where nice and clean and very modern. If I had one gripe it was the Lifts.there just wasn't enough lifts for the size of the hotel. We where always waiting for a lift at meal times .The Food was ok and ample for everyone..i loved the Dynastic and I was honoured to be part of a large group of Entertainers.who had a ball. The Guests where superb and really enjoyed our impromptu shows..The weather while we where there was awful but we didn't care as we having a ball inside the Dynastic entertaining the Guests..To everyone concerned Thank you x

Well we finally ended up going to Benidorm for the first time in over 40 years of travelling overseas with a bit of doubt after reading some of the reports but the Dynastic Hotel gave us quite a good holiday. There should be no complaints about the food as there was more than enough variation for every meal. Not many hotels put on four different versions of cooked egg every day for breakfast and yes it was HOT. The drinks variation from the bar was good enough for anyone and there was never any long wait to be served. ALL the staff were helpful, friendly and could speak English and enjoyed speaking to my wife in Spanish while both correcting each other with a bit fun and enjoyment. Thanks to Anna in the restaurant for clearing our tables and her cheerfulness. The entertainment was typical in house with three nice friendly people doing what they could to involve and keep people happy. All the staff spoke and greeted you as they approached or passed you by and would stop for a chat. The rooms were comfortable but the best rooms are in the tall building on the high floors facing the sea, “well you can see a little bit of the sea”. They are much bigger with more storage space and walk in showers and well worth the extra charge payable in the hotel if you can get one. We were on the 19th floor and enjoyed the panoramic outside lift that took us to our room. Weather was not the best with only a few hot days and plenty thunderstorms and torrents of rainwater flooding the streets and even some twisters over the sea. Benidorm itself looks and feels run down in the side streets and has been taken over by Indian and Chinese shopkeepers pestering to sell cheap Chinese rubbish at prices that vary from cheap to ridiculous. While we were there we were lucky enough to have members of the Merseyside Entertainers Golfing Association staying at the Dynastic for local golfing. Ricky Tomlinson introduced these excellent entertainers from Merseyside who provided fantastic musical and comedy shows over many nights in their own time and they would involve holidaymakers in sing songs ensuring that they themselves and everyone else had a great time. The rooms were packed and they put a lot of effort in for everyone. Most of the people there were over the hill as we are which meant there was no unruly behaviour but the younger ones were starting to arrive as we were leaving. I hate to think how it must change when it is full of yobs in summer months.
Now the BAD points:-
You pay a fortune for the SMALLEST hotel safe I have ever seen and you struggle to put an iPad in and there is no way you could get a laptop or a reasonable sized handbag into it.
The hotel pool bar is HORRENDOUS when it comes to NOISE. There are absolutely no soft furnishings in a large room with tiled floors and concrete walls so it is worse than being in an echo chamber when the music is on and everyone has to shout to be heard over the sound bouncing off the walls, windows and floors. The only time it was quiet and comfortable was if there was less than a dozen people in and no music on. And of course going outside onto the poolside patio was a waste of time with all the smokers STINKING the place out ,and often having to listen to the language being used wasn’t fun.
Apart from the couple of bad points above, the Dynastic was a nice clean hotel in a good position with bus stops outside the door and friendly helpful staff that looked after you in every way.

Room Tip: High floors in the tall tower facing the sea with sun all day are well worth the extra and are cheap...

Stayed recently at this hotel (I am a regular visitor to Benidorm) and it was a very pleasant surprise. Its location is OK, Ok because it is OK for anything and everything you want to do on your holiday. Its walking distance to everything Beach - Bars - Markets - Transport, there is also a lot of parking around the hotel as well as its own large private car park. The check in process was very quick with plenty of English speaking staff.
He rooms are all exceptionally large very modern and clean. The restaurant has a very extensive choice in its help yourself hot and cold buffet. It’s a big restaurant and always plenty of tables, we did not see any queuing at any time. We stayed all inclusive which was brilliant with lots of international brands included in the offer. The hotel hires out Segways which is an absolute must do thing, great fun and hire from the hotel much cheaper than other companies in Benidorm

Room Tip: spend a couple of hours on a Segway hired from the hotel
