Food excellent. very helpful staff. Set back two roads from the beach but only five minutes walk. Close to shops, bars supermarket. Smallish hotel (not high rise).
Good size bedrooms, very good shower. Good balcony

Room Tip: rooms on pool side best

Stayed in February 2014, but have also stayed here many times before. Always spotlessly clean with a nice 'clean' smell throughout the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel is situated between the old town and the 'British' end, so always a short, level walk to the beach (200mtrs), the old town (300mtrs), and the 'Brit' end (500mtrs).

Mainly used by Spanish visitors, but the food is multi-national with themed nights. Restuarant is spotless, hygiene is also taken very seriously. Lounge is wonderful with padded comfortable chairs and a fantastic waterfall feature - great for relaxing if the weather is not so good or you want a night in.

Hotel is highly recommended for guests who appreciate quality and tranquility (i.e. if you just want to drink yourself silly and are prone to bad behaviour and bad language, best to go somewhere else).

Room Tip: Use the Servigroup website if not booking through a tour operator - often good discounts and option to request special facilities

Stayed with 17 family members in Jan 2014 and we had a very nice time with no complaints. Stayed on the 6th floor and asked for the pool side of the hotel for an open view. Good choice of food and some different choices such as snails and pigs trotters if thats what you like..
The staff were fine and helpful when needed..

Room Tip: poolside view

We stayed there over Christmas 2013 with my wife's parents. It was our third or fourth trip. It is a really comfortable place to spend a few days getting some winter sun. The rooms are fairly basic but are really well looked after and are fantastically clean. The reception staff are great and speak perfect English. The public areas are bright, warm and welcoming.

At Christmas time the majority of the visitors were retired people (probably about 50/50 British and European). All seem to get along well and there is little evidence of us and them - In fact because most people seem to be repeat visitors, there is a lot of friendly waves and smiles with each group trying out each other's language.

Food is ok, but the restaurant now has the feel of a cafeteria, which can be a little off putting when you first arrive. There is always ample choice on the hot and cold buffets and the portions are as generous as you wish them to be. Wine prices are reasonable and there is a wide enough choice.

The location is excellent, just a 5-10 minute walk from the old town and less than 5 minutes from the beach.

This is just a comfortable place to visit and is worth giving a go. Book early for the main holidays though, it is very popular and fills up quickly.

Just come back from a 3 night stay at the Diplomatic hotel and will definitely return there.
The location is perfect for Levante beach and Benidorm Old Town.
Meals were not bad- better than I have had in other hotels in Benidorm and the staff were very kind. Be warned this is a dog friendly hotel and there were a couple of pooches on holiday with their elderly Spanish owners. It was extremely limited as to where the dogs could go.( Not allowed in the bar, lounge and restaurant ) Met an English couple who thought it was disgusting that dogs were allowed but this is real Spain. Many hotels in Spain are dog friendly. Much prefer to be with lots of Spanish people and the occasional dog than be with a load of Brits getting drunk and reenacting scenes from the comedy sit com " Benidorm ". Really liked it there and had a good time.
